Replaced battery.
The battery light indicates, when lit, that the charging system (alternator), is not supplying enough power to run the vehicle and thus is draining the battery of power. Under normal conditions this should never happen. Have your charging system checked.
What was the reason you had to replace the battery? There are numerous places on these cars that can short out or build up corrosion over time and affect the ground integrity and harness connections in the car. This will cause odd things like battery draw (battery randomly draining over time for no obvious reason), no start, radio not working, dome lights not working, etc... First thing is to make sure the correct battery was installed and installed correctly. Then check all your fuses weather under the hood or in the cabin of the vehicle. Did you try to jump start the old battery if it was dead? if so check ignition switch and related wiring, grounds and fuses. There is more but we can leave you with this for now.
