The battery light indicates, when lit, that the charging system (alternator), is not supplying enough power to run the vehicle and thus is draining the battery of power. Under normal conditions this should never happen. Have your charging system checked.

Bad alternator from Firestone. They install rebuilts; only giving 2 year warranty not indicated on invoice.

What was the reason you had to replace the battery? There are numerous places on these cars that can short out or build up corrosion over time and affect the ground integrity and harness connections in the car. This will cause odd things like battery draw (battery randomly draining over time for no obvious reason), no start, radio not working, dome lights not working, etc... First thing is to make sure the correct battery was installed and installed correctly. Then check all your fuses weather under the hood or in the cabin of the vehicle. Did you try to jump start the old battery if it was dead? if so check ignition switch and related wiring, grounds and fuses. There is more but we can leave you with this for now. I would hate to confuse you. let me know,
-Tim

The battery was in need of being replaced, and after it was, I thought the blinking battery indicator light would have stopped, but it didn't. Car runs fine. Could be just a fuse or a battery cable needs replacing. I will find out tomorrow and post.

2003 Toyota ECHO still have humming on right front new tire/hub/bearing. (changed bearing 4 times until satisfied of proper installation) Can anyone help?

Does the vehicle have run flat tyres? As these can cause a humming drone noise?

Also, it would be worth having the vehicle “tracked” / full wheel alignment. The person doing this looks at car steering and suspensions every day and will notice if anything is out of line

Check the new battery posts(connections if side terminal) alot of the battery companies put a protective coating on and it has to be removed. Use wire brush or sandpaper to clean them and you should be fine.

Sluggish performance and engine light - added new plugs and oil

You need to check for engine codes to see what is wrong. Bring it to a parts store for a free scan for codes. The check engine light indicates a problem, probably the emissions system, which is causing the poor performance. The parts store will plug a hand held scan tool into the cars diagnostic port (usually located under the dash) and 'read' any codes stored in the cars computer. They can them tell you what code #'s come up, what they mean, and how to correct the problem. If you have any questions after that, post them here w/ the code #;s for further help.

02 echo ac issue

I assume that the 7.5 amp fuse blew again, yes? If so, it looks like you may have a locked up A/C compresser, or too much freon in the system (if somebody tried to add some to make the A/C come on). If the compressor is locking up, the engine will turn slow, at least until the drive belt or the fuse fails.
