SOURCE: crank shaft sensor

I have 10 years experience in a Nissan dealership and I know without a shadow of a doubt that the Crankshaft Position Sensor is NOT located next tp the crank pulley... it is rather at the other end of the engine near where the transmission bellhousing bolts to the engine block. It is on the side toward the firewall near the bottom. Even if you can get the vehicle on a lift and get under it, you can't really see it... It's more of a feel thing... There was a campaign (recall) on these engines to replace Crank Position and also Cam Postion sensors. Check with your dealer- the campaign might be open. You will need your VIN number when you call.

SOURCE: my engine shuts off while im driving

Check ecm for number 1228253. If it has this one in it you will have a cutting off problem. Gm replaced these with #16198264 The cam sensor magnet on the cam gear will deteriorate and give problems. This will require removal of the timing cover.

SOURCE: 2001 Hyundai accent crank position sensor needs

Go to http://www.hmaservice.com/ and register (vehicle by VIN). Afterward, you'll have access to technical information (manuals, wiring diagrams, service bulletins, etc) about your vehicle.

SOURCE: 98 chevy cavalier cranks but wont start changed

try to start the car, than the anti theift would shut the car off. you wait ten min with the key on, until you see the anti theift flash or disapear. than turn key to off position and try to start it. this will reprogram the computer.. Good luck.

you can also try disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes

Why my 97' f-250 7.3 powerr stroke keeps dieing while idling

The power stroke engine has several things that will cause this problem #1 crank shaft sensor AKA cam shaft sensor on crank shaft located on passenger side of engine near crank shaft pulley # 2 IPC sensor Injection pressure control if has oil in sensor replace it & wiring pigtail .#3 high pressure oil pump not up to par. #4 injection pressure regulator solenoid they get sticky. with a good scanner that has FORD enhanced software you can check all of these without leaving the drivers seat and perform running tests on injectors and test the ficm module interface with the pcm. Fuel Injection Control Module & Power Control Module.

H my name is carl my 2002 Hyundai accent will crank over everything comes on but wont start there's no spark, and no power to fuel pump and i changed the crank shaft position sensor and still nothi

Have you checked the timing belt, it is most likely has stripped out teeth and not turning the camshaft(s). Pull the belt cover off the front of the engine and see if the camshaft pulleys rotate when cranking the engine over.

Fuel fill problem gas pump keeps shuts of when i try to fill

Iown 02 hyundai accent gl 1.6l. Had the problem twice. I used to over fill the tank until I had to spend close to $550.00 USD. The problem is when we overfill the tank. the carbon canister gets clogged and it damages a sensor in the assembly called "DMTL". Thia assy is located under the rear driver side of the car to the left and rear of the fuel tank. Once I replaced the carbon canister, sensor and filter the problem went away. if you let it go for a long time you eventually start smelling gas inside the car after fill ups. Good luck.

My 2005 hyundia accent has spark but no power to fuel pump or injectors

With the key on,the fuel pump is only activated for 1 second, the off, until the vehicle is turned over again, then it will come on again, checking power to the fuel pump,is not easy to do,,I am thinking maybe the fuel pump is coming on,but the injectors are not pulsating, replace the crankshaft sensor ,it controls spark, and injector pulse.
