My 2014 Chevy Cruze has a problem with turning a corner the steering kicks back hard when you turn can cause your wirst to get injured.

First off, verify that the power steering reservoir has the right amount of fluid and that it looks clean (not dirty brown or black). If so, try burping the reservoir to get any air out. Just start the car with the cap off and turn the wheel lock to lock, back and forth several times. This will force any air out of the system. If the fluid is low, top it off and take a drive to see if it's cured. If the fluid is filthy, use a turkey baster to **** out as much as you can, refill it with new fluid, burp the system again to circulate the fluid, and repeat the drain and refill procedure - do it a few times to try and get as much of the old stuff out as you can.

If you still have a problem, you should inspect (or have inspected) the rack and pinion, power steering pump and pressure lines, and also the bushings in your front suspension, as well as the inner and outer tie rods - any of those could cause the problem you're having.

check your power steering belt. it may have broke or slipped off the pulley. if it seems ok check your fluid level. if it is still at normal operating level for hot or cold then your power steering pump may have just seized up and you may have to replace it.

The power steering is electric on that car. It has a electric motor on the column, and a control module. There are several causes that could be the problem. You need to have it scanned to get a better idea of what to do. If you can give me the codes you get then I will be glad to advise you on what's best. Good Luck

If it is 4wd you may have a problem with your front differential. GMCs are known for having front differential axle seals leaking. If all the fluid is out metal parts may be binding.
