Your public library will have a manual covering your mechanical repair. Moreover, they have the automotive shops online software called AllData. It is the best auto technician database available today. You can print out specific troubleshooting procedures, diagrams, step-by-step istructions, and soforth. The typical person cannot afford to pay for this service, just automotive dealerships, etc... that is why the public library made it available to everyone and for free to view and print out material. SOURCE: How does one replace the dashboard lights in a 2000 Toyota Camry?

Toyota 2000 -
Before you get started - get a good camera and when you need to remove anything - take a picture of how it looked before you removed it.

Removing the dash is a job only a master mechanic will take on. Most beginners have to get a lot of help as there are many minor details on a dash. Which wire goes where -how was it routed - some are air hoses - some are heater hoses - some must go back on before others and so on and so forth. I am not saying don't try it - I am saying it is a very dificult project.
To get started - be sure the car is where it can be left in case you need to get parts -- start with removing the negative battery cable.
now look for loose panels on the dash it's self. If you have an air bag - you will need to consult your owners manual to see how to disable it and remove it. Not paying attention to this can cause an injury.
Once you get this far please be careful in removing the remaining screws to where the dash is lose. Pull gently and remove screws and bolts until the unit pulls free.

Again I caution you this is a project only highly experienced mechanic should attempt.

Best of it

Strange sign shown on the dashboard

Hello. That dashboard symbol has a definite meaning. If you have the owner manual, there will be a page that has all of the dashboard sysmbol. If you do not, you could go to your local toyota dealership and ask them to get you a manual or even photocopy that page of dashboard symbols from their 1994 Camry manual. Joe
