SOURCE: 1995 ford f150 4.9 how to remove a/c clutch

remove drive belt then aquire the clutch removal tool from Auto zone or Napa, there is a specific puller designed to remove this clutch,in some cases in order to hold the pulley while removing center nut or bolt you must use a chain wrench with an old leather belt wraped around the pulley to protect the v-ribs on pulley in order to get the pulley bolt or nut loose the clutch will just turn when trying to loosen center nut if you don't use the chain wrench to hold it, after removing said nut or bolt attach the puller to the clutch and while holding it stationary with the chain wrench proceed to turn the shaft of the puller to remove the clutch, it should pop free after a couple of turns with a socket wrench of the appropriate size. PS use the chain wrench ($22.00 Auto zone) only in the corerect direction it does not clamp effectively either direction. also sometimes there is special holding tool for certain clutches, consult Napa or the dealer before buying the chain wrench it may not be effective in holding the clutch while trying to remove center bolt.

How many quarts of transmission fluid do I need to put in after i dropped the pan and replaced the filter on a 1991 ford f150 ext. cab 2-door long wheel base pickup with a 5.0 V8

Go to amsoil.com and look up your vehicle. They have a great page that shows fluid capacities for many vehicles. Its some awesome oil too. Puts Mobil 1 to shame.

Just change transmission filter in 95 ford windstar put 5 quarts in stick still read empty. how much fuild does it take?

IF YOU REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION IT TAKES ABOUT 8 QUARTS. 3 IN THE CONVERTER AND 5 ON THE PAN. NORMALLY IT ONLY TAKES 5 IF YOU CHANGE THE OIL AND FILTER.. MAKE SURE THE STICK IS GOING ALL THE WAY... YOU MUST ALSO CHECK OIL WHEN ENGINE IS ON.. NOT OFF...

I am going to attemp to change the tranny fluid in my '92 Taurus. Where is the drain plug underneath and is it true that it takes 12.8 quarts of fluid? Is there anything else I should know before I start?

well first theres no plug to drain fluid, you will have to remove the trany pan, the pan gasket and filter need to be replaced, next thing is that it doesnt hold 12.8 qts, thats only if it was dry empty, just dropping the pan doesnt get all the oil out, the converter is still full and the lines and cooler,i would replace the filter and pan gasket then take to a garage and have a bg trany service done, this service gets 100% of the old oil out, your doing a drain and fill, this only takes about 6 qts, good luck.

Can you replace an oil pan gasket on a 1995 Ford F150 4.9L V6 by just removing the bolts and resting it on the crossmember? I have an oil pan leak with the gasket pushed out just below the oil filter. Also...

my opinion is to do an oil change while you are at it to save some stress. draining the old oil will help from having to hold the pan full of oil and tipping it over, etc. then simply take off the bolts, which should be anywhere from8-12 or so. make sure you clean both sides of the pan. the lip and the side thats on the block. place the new gasket on the pan and put four nuts [corners are best] finger tight. then insert the rest of the bolts and make sure you dont over torque!!!

How many quarts of transmission fluid does a 1995 chrysler concorde hold

That depends if you are talking about dropping the pan only - or fluid for the entire trani including the tourque converter..

If only dropping the pan - it should be about 3 to 5 quarts..

It its for the hole trani & tc - it should be 6 to 9 quarts..

Rate me good ;o)

I have a transmission fluid leak on my 1995 ford F150, 4x4. What are the possible places it could be leaking from?

It could be leaking from the pan, the dipstick where it goes into the transmission, or the front or rear seals on the transmission.

Capacity of fluid for a transmission of a 2006 F150 5.4L Truck. Book says 13.9 quarts I emptied 3-4 quarts.

you must have just drained the pan? There is much more held in the converter. The one I am rebuilding this week is an 05 and doesn't have a drain plug on it (not many do anymore). A flush is the only way to change it all out. 13.9qts sounds like the total amount if the trans was completely empty, converter and all
