I have a 1995 and 1999 LeSabre and the radio removal is the same on both.
1. Carefully remove the AC vents from the dash.
2. In each of the AC openings are screws that hold the top of the dash trim in place.
3. Starting from the passenger door gently pry off the "wood" trim piece, It is held in place with metal clips and velcro.
4. Do the same as 3 from the driver side (short piece).
5. Remove the remaing screws from the bottem of the dash.
6. Move the Shift knob (requires key) all the way down.
7. Starting at each end of the dash slowly pry/pull each clip along the top of the dash from its mounting hole. Be careful not to crack the silver trim piece on the top of the dash (especially on top of the passenger airbag).
8. When the dash is free tilt the top in towards the car and wiggle it loose around the bottom (over the steering column) and the whole piece should come free.

This gives access to the radio, heater controls, speedo etc.

For the radio - three screws - antenna cable pop out. The harness needs a little more work. If your radio has a security feature (blinking light when car is off) make sure you know the security unlock code. Test the code before pulling the power to the radio.
Turn the radio over and carefully unlock the blue clip at the bottom of the plug. Then work the harness loose.
This sounds much worse than it is - it should take 15-30 minutes depending if you have all the tools close by. BTW those AC vents have a top and bottom - the larger hole goes on the bottom and they snap back in place.

Takes a little work but normally they pull off, or carefully pry with something thin. Usually clips that snap into holes in dash are holding it.

How do I fix the brake light on a 1997 Buick LeSaber.

I just did a 97 Regal yesterday and yes you are correct...the strip must be removed to gain access...depending on model you may have to remove the cushioning panel (piece of upholstery panel) on the inside of trunk lid...follow this video URL as it explains the removal better in video form than written..basically remove the 7 10mm nuts holding panel on, lower trunk lid a little and wiggle panel off, twist socket and remove to gain bulb access..install is reverse procedure ...Regal, Century and LeSabre are all same idea/setup Tail Light Change 1997 2005 Buick Century 2004 Buick Century Custom 3 1L V6

How do i remove the radio in my 2005 buick lesabre custom?

The front dash panel will need to be removed. There are a couple screws inside the center console and the rest are snap in clips. Carefully remove this and there are 4 more screws behind this panel to un-screw and remove the radio.

Chanmge the factory stero

There is  a strip of wood trim that needs to be removed so that you can get to the screws that attach the black dashboard plastic to the back of the dashboard.  You will need a hex head screwdriver.  There are also screws inside the air vents.  Once you have removed all the screws the black dash panel will slip off easily.  If it does not slip off easy, then you missed a screw.  Now that your radio is now exposed, use a socket wrench to undo the three mounting bolts, they are on the face of the radio.  Then after you have that out, install a radio mounting plate that you will have to buy extra with your aftermarket stereo.  Ten slip in your new radio and re-attach all of the bits you took off in reverse order.

How to remove the radio from a 2000 Buick lasabre and replace with after market radio ? How to remove the radio?

i have a 1998 lesabre and it might be pretty much the same. first u will have to remove the wood looking trim along the bottom of the dash. it is just held in by clips so carefully pry it off with a screwdriver or something. then remove the vents from the black plastic part of the dash. just turn them to one side and carefully pop them off. after you do this you will be able to find the screws that hold the black plastic trim on. undo those and u can take it off. then just remove the screws holding the radio in and ur good to go. good luck
