check to see if you have your plug wires at the right location on distributor cap. If you don't have a digram they are as follows- right side 1, 3, 5 front to rear. Left side is 2,4,6 front to rear. #1 should be on the location at front of cap closest to intake manifold. firing order is 1,2,3,4,5,6. Hope this helps. KS

SOURCE: what will cause a 5.7 2002 gmc savanna not to have

on that engine the crankshaft sensor sends a signal to the pcm to fire the coil the pcm then sends a ground pulse signal to the coil to fire if you check for 12 volts at the coil and it is there with the key turned to run. then use a 12 volt test light hooked up the alagator clip on the positive battery post and touch the probe end of the test light to the pulsing wire at the coil electrical connector white and black wire during cranking the test light should flash.also test pink wire at coil connector for 12 volt with dvom for power.if no 12 volt check fuses with the test light to ground on injector 1 fuse. also ohms test the coil wire no more than 1000 ohms per inch . also check ground at ign module with the test light .Hope this helps thunder boltz please post rating

SOURCE: The temp gauge does not indicate any temp info.

Did you replace the sending unit on the drivers side head between the number 1 and 3 spark plugs? That is the one for the gauge

Check to see if you have compression on all cylinders. If you don't, replace the timing chain/belt. If you do check the ignition relay and fuse panel for blown fuses.

Crankshaft sensor and ignition module keep taking a dump.

I would check for a short somewhere in the wire harness or check the bell for true on crank balancer make sure its not rubbing pickup

I would check the control module. Some parts stores can test them. The control module controls when the plugs fire. Usually mounted under the coil packs.

Low battery voltage can keep the coil / ignition control from firing. You need a good 12V to get everything working right. Get a full battery charge and try again. It might also be flodded by now.

Need to know what fires coil 1995 mercury sable both wires to coil have power when key is turned on car cranks no spark from coil new coil what gives the coil extra power to fire

what engine? 3.0L 2 Valve? 4 Valve?
3.4L SHO engine?

The PCM (engine computer) fires the coils, but it is never the cause of a problem. I suspect it is the crankshaft position sensor on the front of the engine by the crank pulley. easy to change.

Crankshaft Position Sensor The crankshaft position sensor (CKP sensor) (6C315) is a variable reluctance sensor triggered by a 36-minus-1 tooth trigger wheel located on the crankshaft pulley and damper. The signal generated from the crankshaft position sensor is called the crankshaft position (CKP) signal, which provides base timing and crankshaft speed (rpm) information to the ignition control module (ICM) (12K072). Base timing is set at 10±2 degrees before top dead center (BTDC) AND IS NOT ADJUSTABLE. The powertrain control module (PCM) (12A650) will use this information with the spark advance information to determine ignition coil (12029) turn on or turn off time.

DId you check your distributer out? Not the Cap but the main distributer itself.
