the oil pressure sending unit is by the oil filter and they are very easy to replace about 30 minute job

Release fuel system pressure
Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
Remove the air inlet hose, upper intake manifold and lower intake manifold with the fuel injectors and fuel rail
Disconnect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector
remove #2

I have a 2008 chrysler aspen v8 hemi... i have received code p0520 oil pressure sensor/ switch. The check engine light is all that is on... my question is, is my car safe to drive for 5 days until the...

find an accredited service shop and have them do a mechanical oil pressure check
takes about 20 minutes and that will show if a pump or sender problem--might even have a new unit on the shelf as well
it is something that should be attended to immediately and any shop that doesn't give it urgent attention is questionable in the customer service

Oil light on after engine warm-up on idle

this means a mechanical gauge test is required to check actual pressure warm idling if low below 20 psi then the oil pressure pump relief is stuck open or engine bearing are worn
