Replace all bulbs, brake light switch, lock in park won,t release paRK LOCK, SO WHAT NEXT
Its hard to get any car repair info for free on the net, everyone wants to make you pay for it. One place where you can still get this info for free and in many cases get free access to online care repair manuals etc., is your local library! Check them out! They should have the Haynes or Chilton's service manuals for most cars and/or access to the online services for Chilton's/Haynes etc.

Your brake light switch went out it also controls the shift lock mechanism.
Its located on the brake pedal and costs about 15.99
SOURCE: unable to shift from park, no brake lights
not a fuse its the conection on your brake switch thats conected to your brake peddle or its just bad. mine had a bad conection
SOURCE: Low Beam headlight and front parking lights do not work
see for the head lamp relay fuse a few manufacturer install a typical fuses for seprately for relay so see weather the fuse are ok or not then see for wiring as far you mention that the wiring of right side went streached to the lower ball joint there is a possibality that wire's can break internally & may get shot circuited due to cross circuit & may cause this sort's of problem & if possible show it to highly experience person techanican, mechanic or an authorised dealer or service centre who can sortout you car problem untill then see you soon my friend
Do the brake light work? No brake lights and it won't shift out of park. Check your fuses and check for loose wires. Check your brake light switch. If that has failed, you won't be able to get out of park. The other one if the shift lock solenoid which is in the shifter assembly. The brake shift interlock switch prevents the car being shifted from park unless the brake pedal is depressed. Try to apply power/ground to the proper wires & see if it will activate.. If it does, then the problem is between the brake light switch & that solenoid. Could be the wires or the switch.Make sure the shifter cable is still held down in place at the shifter assembly & under the hood. It is the interlock switch that you hear/feel clicking. It is for the prior generation but may still apply.
Good Luck and hopefully you soon will be on the road again...;-)
