Wrench light flashes on my dashboard when I start up my car

Try this, Since you are applying the hand brake. Manually pull up on the emergency pedal and see if the light goes out. If this does work then you could have one of several problems. but, I am thinking that you might be able to adjust the brake tensioner if this car has one.

Did this start happening, after tyres were rotated, or a new tyre was fitted? This will probably reset when the ignition is turned off and back on again, then start flashing after another 80km. This can be caused by the rolling diameter of the wheels being different, and the computer is picking up that a tyre is flat, or that the tyres are of different size designation or different levels of wear. This happened to me after rotating tyres, and would repeat every 40-50km, and went away, when i put the spare, back to being the spare.

If the car you are talking about has kind of like a key in it, from what I can see is that if the car is running or on the on position and is still blinking. Your security system is malfunctioning. I am more of a Ford mechanic so am not sure but have a PDF of your owners manual. I took some snap shots from it and this is what I found (see pictures below). This is right out of the owners manual. If you don't have a copy of your owners manual just email me at [email protected] and I will be email you a copy. Don't worry it won't cost you anything. Just let me know the make, model and year of your vehicle so I send you the right one. I hope this helped a little at least and good luck.

It is the battery. It is bad and shorting out. Check the manual for directions to trouble shoot until you replace it. There is a small button that you need to remove next to the shifter, place the key in the hole and hold for about 10 seconds. It is a shift release.
I had the same problem. Fixed!
