Is it a v6 or straight six? The 302 should bolt up to the trans. but if the engine is a straight six you will need a different k member. I hope this helps.

1996 ford full size bronco, 302 engine, starts and runs fine, under power it bucks and misses and has no power. let off gas and is ok again. A test shows a misfire on the #4 cylinder. The plugs, wires and...

Is this a 4.9L engine? An inline 6? My database doesn't show a 4.9L in that model year. It does show that engine in 95.
Did you visually check for spark at number 4 cylinder?
For 95-- 4.9L--fuel pressure--50--60 psi. Use a gage and check proper fuel pressure. Also, see if fuel pressure will hold for a bit with everything off.
Fuel--spark--compression. Some ford makes and models, ford can disable the fuel injector, if misfire is detected. I only mention this because, swapping injectors may not be conclusive? You can check for fuel injector pulse, anyway.
How long since over-all tune-up? You did get a new fuel filter, if inline filter, correct?

How do i tell if my engine is a cleavland or not i dint have any manuel or not

There were no clevelands in 1982. You most likely have a 351 windsor or a 302.You could have a 300 inline 6 cylinder.

I need to know the order of the plug wires from the motor to the distibutor

Depends on your engine, Inline 6 (1-5-3-6-2-4) 302 and 460 (1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8) 351 (1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8)

I need a diagram showing the spark plug wires on a ford 302 motor

FIRING ORDERS NOTE: To avoid confusion, remove and tag the spark plug wires one at a time, for replacement. If a distributor is not keyed for installation with only one orientation, it could have been removed previously and rewired. The resultant wiring would hold the correct firing order, but could change the relative placement of the plug towers in relation to the engine. For this reason it is imperative that you label all wires before disconnecting any of them. Also, before removal, compare the current wiring with the accompanying illustrations. If the current wiring does not match, make notes in your book to reflect how your engine is wired. Fig. 1: 300 cid (4.9L) inline six-cylinder engines Firing order: 1-5-3-6-2-4 Distributor rotation: Clockwise 85762008.gif
Fig. 2: 232 cid (3.8L) V6 engine Firing order: 1-4-2-5-3-6 Distributor rotation: Counterclockwise 85762006.gif
Fig. 3: 255 cid (4.2L), 302 cid (5.0L), 360 cid (5.9L), 390 cid (6.5L), 460 cid (7.5L) V8 engines Firing order: 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 Distributor rotation: Counterclockwise 85762007.gif
Fig. 4: 351 cid W & M (5.8L), 400 (6.6L) engines Firing order: 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 Distributor rotation: Counterclockwise 85762009.gif

No spark number 6 cylinder v-8

does not fire where? at the plug? have u checked the wire, cap..hmmm..77 ..how many miles on that motor? have u done a compression check? could be burned valve, fouled plug bad wire worn cap and or rotor ..check the obvious first. start at the plug..if it's not firing, swap it for a known good one.. if it doesn't fire, swap the wire, if it still doesn't fire swap cap and rotor..if that doesn't solve or identify where the bad component is.or if you find you have fire at the plug but still misses on the cylinder.... start looking inside.. run compression check... if it's low squirt oil in cylindeer and check again.. if it comes up drastically.. it's worn rings..but if it stays low probably worn valves. but i'm thinking its somewhere between the distributer and the plug.. good luck...

POSSIBLE TO convert 1973 ford F100 390 to inline 6

No not much trouble. However it depends on what Transmission you are using. If A stick, then you will need to change bell housing and you will need to use flywheel fro either a 302 V-8 or another strait 6. 300 or 240 which ever you are using will also need the hard mounts from another truck. The mounts are diferent from one with a 6 to one with a V8. Also the radiator if I remimber correctly is diferent in the way the hoses hook up. There will be a little more money to do this change. But it is easy once you make the plan and see what needs to be done. I have gone from a 300 6 to a 302 V8 in a 78 F-150. It was quite easy and i did it in a day. Any more questions ask.
