1994 buick lesabre speedomiter stopped working also won't shift into high gear putting out codes po501, po502, p1361 what would cause this

i had this problem; turned out to be the hi speed relay
under the hood, in the area with all the relays. there is a
cover which comes off, and you will see the relay,

Try replacing the vehicle speed sensor. I don't think it has a speedo relay and the Torque Converter Clutch would not cause this problem.

There is a pressure sol. in the transmission that is bad . This is a common problem that requires removal of the side transmission cover. The transmission does not need to be rebuilt! Talk to a gm dealer. I have sold over a hundred of these pressure sol. and the side cover gaskets to a real gm transmission mechanic that have fixed this problem. GM parts over 20 years.
