SOURCE: air conditioner

OK, the compressor may be squealing due to a lack of lubrication internally, causing a squeal of the belt or the compressor is in need of replacement.

May cost anywhere from a few hundred up for a new one installed.

First, Check belt tension for belt problems.

Or, the clutch is squealing on the compressor at low speeds.

More likely a belt, I think.

Try charging the system with oil and r134a in a can along with sealant.

Sometimes putting a few ounces of oil in the system will quiet the compressor down.

Good luck on this repair.

My air conditioner is not working on my 2005 Nissan quest se. what may be the problem? it was working fine yesterday. there is plenty of antifreeze

anti freeze has nothing to do with air conditioning
shaking at speed is , tires, wheel alignment, suspension parts or balance and again is not related to air conditioning
working one day and not the next suggest a leak in the ac system and now the low pressure switch is not allowing the compressor to work
So to cover your problems
take the car to an accredited auto ac specialist shop and have it checked for leaks and gas
then take it to an accredited suspension for a thorough check of the front end , then have a wheel alignment done

Why does my 2000 Nissan Quest emits humming sound when engine run

Most likely, that is the sound of the FUEL PUMP. If the car is running well, don't worry about it. Try changing your fuel filter to see if that helps (usually does).
If you have trouble with fuel delivery at high speeds or under load, suspect that your fuel pump is about to fail.

2004 nissan quest overheating a little

You can run the engine without the thermostat as a test.
Not recommended to run it forever like that.
The problem could be air in the system, or a faulty water pump not making the coolant flow.

1999 Nissan Quest

you need to clean the mass air flow sensor wires. They get a coating of varnish on them and that leans out the fuel mixture. It is on the air cleaner tube and has 2 screws holding it in. remove the MAF sensor and clean it with carburator and a toothbrush vey gently. the 2 wires are gentle. no hard scrubbing. Reassemble. Engine will atke a few minutes to learn newly cleaned MAF. good luck.
