I got in a accident and air bag deployed in a 2010 Hyundai Elantra and it was still running good and all of a sudden it just shut off, does it have an emergency fuel shut off switch that we can reset for...

I searched using Google.com and the following suggested locations to check are shown below:

https://www.yourmechanic.com/question/where-is-the-fuel-inertia-switch-on-a-2010-hyundai-sonata-by-heather-b

"On some Hyundai models, the switch is to the right of the brake master cylinder. Look for a switch with a red button. Other locations that Hyundai has used for this switch are in the passenger glovebox area and in the trunk. Those locations might be concealed. For more detailed advice on how to locate the fuel cut off switch please see YourMechanic's fuel cut off switch tutorial. If your vehicle has not been in a crash, and it doesn't start, it is unlikely that this switch is at fault. If your vehicle is not starting, the appropriate diagnostic is a no start diagnostic. If you have further questions or concerns, do not hesitate to re-contact YourMechanic as we are always here to help you. "

My son put desiel fuel in CX7 Mazda, how do i take it out, now the car can not start

You will need to drain the whole fuel tank and have the tank cleaned out to make sure there is no diesel left in it.also all fuel lines will need to be flushed and fuel filter replaced.when all done and refitted and filling the tank I would also run in the tank a bottle of fuel system cleaner to flush through the injectors.

1999 Chevy silverado 4.3 liter V6 changed fuelpump, fuel filter, and solenoid but truck mainly in the mornings after driving for around ten miles the tach goes to zero

Believe it or not the ignition switch causes a lot of problems. You can try taking the ignition switch out and and spraying it good with a proper cleaner. I replaced two fuel pumps in less than a year due to the ignition switch not giving a proper ground to the pump.

You also could have some trash in your gas tank large enough to collect after running a short while that impedes the flow of fuel. If you think its the fuel you can hook up a fuel pressure gage to see if you are loosing fuel pressure. Hard to diagnose some of these issues, but I do know how hard it is to change a fuel pump. raise the bed or drop the tank. Good Luck (btw, I learned to always use OEM fuel pumps)

Gas tank will not switch and gas runs out of fuel cap! Fuel gauge shows always full on front tank, goes down quickly rear tank gauge

Hello tlsnyder52: My name is Roger and I will help you. The problem you have is in the fuel select valve. This was a factory recall a few years ago. The recall number is 91S39.What happens is the valve sticks when you switched tanks. This returns all unburnt fuel to the tank you are not using. Basically fills the other tank while the one you are using goes empty. When you fill both tanks the returned fuel has nowhere to go. The fuel has to go somewhere and pushes out the vent. This is not a hard valve to replace. But I would check as if the recall was not performed it may be under warranty recall. The service kit number is F1UZ9B263B and can be obtained from a Ford dealer. Should You need further help please just ask. Please rate the answer. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

Is the fuel filter non serviceable ?

It is ideal not to reuse the fuel filter because it will always be choked with very fine dust and is not at all adviceable.
However if there is an emergency when the replacement is not available you can back flush it with air, after filling with fuel to remove off residue .

Can't use front tank. i fill the rear tank, front tank eventually fills up. switch to front tank, it'll run for about 5 minutes then stall. then i switch to rear...fine. why is the front tank filling up...

Ok sounds like a electrical problem being an 89 its fuel injected eather 5.0 or 5.8 each tank has its own fuel pump and sending unit a dashboard switch, relay, fuse and switching motor. check your fuel line from the front tank it could be clogged. check for 12v pwr. to the front pump the sending unit will require 4V but not much. as soon as the fuel rail pressureizes the ECM shuts the pump off using the relay. Usually the tank switch goes bad first.

1991 Ford F-250 (again!) 4.9 liter, dual tanks. Just replaced the ignition switch on the column, replaced a fused link that went open due to the old switch shorting out. had it all put back together things...

try resetting the inertia switch located on drivers side way up under the dash, with a red button on top, maybe you kick it or hit the body hard enough to kick it off, also check the fuel pump relay under the hood drivers side ,i think brown and black relay box over wheel( inner fender)..and check the fuse, and new fuseable link

Electrical problem-"93" pathfinder

your brake light is always on because the stopper at the brake switch is destroyed that's why it doesn't turn off. just put something hard to fill the hole at the brake pedal.
