If you keep popping fuses everytime you try to start the car, you have a bare hot wire grounding out somewhere. That will cause the fuse to pop everytime you turn the key on. the best way to fix it is if you know someone who is good with electrical wires. Have them pull the fuse panel out and follow the wire until they find where the wire is bare. Have them fix that bad spot and that should fix your problem.

SOURCE: 98 PLYMOUTH GRAND VOYAGER WONT START - BLOWS ENG FUSE - HELP

You have a shorted engine harness, this is not common but it does happen, heat and engine movement cause damage to the harness, this is most common on hi miler cars and vans, the only way to fix it is to start by looking anywhere the harness rubs, that is where the damage occurs.

SOURCE: ignition fuel starter fuse keeps blowing and it won't start

The earlier "fix" suggests a possible wiring problem -
more specifically, a historic issue with Chrysler products is the ground connections, which are typically insufficient.
Check both the battery to engine and then the engine to frame (firewall). If either are worn or frayed replace them. Even if it looks fine I would still replace the motor to frame cable with a heavy duty grounding strap available at most parts stores. ( doesn't have to be a specific cable - can even be homemade, just make sure it is heavier than the original and is connected to a good, bare area.)

SOURCE: Car shuts off

I would check the Idle Air Ctrl. valve.if not opening when coming to a stop eng will starve for air cause air is not bypassing the throttle plate when the plate is closed

SOURCE: why does my fuse keep blowing for my tail lights

The fuse keeps blowing out because there is a short circuit. Check the tailight sockets for corosion. Is there a tow package wiring installed?

motor1258_17.jpgRemove IAC (automatic idle speed) and clean it with throttle body spray cleaner especially the pointed part (pintle) as well as clean inside port (hole) it came out of . If it cures it for a while and starts doing it again, replace it.

Is the fuel filter in the gas tank? the car has been missing out especially when the air conditioner is on and I am idle.

I believe the fuel filter on the Breeze is located over the tank and is somewhat hard to get to. However if you have a miss at idle I would look at sparkplug wires and plugs first.

I have a 1998 Plymouth Breeze 2.0. The check engine light came on and stayed on. And it started idleing real rough. Someone suggested I disconnect the battery and reconnect it to make the light go out. I...

Hi my name is Allen!

When the check engine light is on this means there is a problem somewhere in the powertrain control system, which could be almost anything.

Here is what I need you to do, drive your vehicle to AutoZone or another auto parts store near you and have them pull the codes for you. Then get back to me and let me know what those codes are, and what the scanner say the code means.

We will move further with repair procedure after I know what the code or codes are.
