u have to take off tthe valve cover and pull out old tube seals that are in the valve cover and replace them with new ones and a new valve cove r gasket
That is caused from your valve seals. These seals slide over the valve stem and keep oil from getting into the cylinder. The reason that it stops after it warms is because these seals are rubber and when they heat up they are soft again as they are from the factory. When they are cold and have a lot of age on them they become brittle and hard. That is usually not to expensive of a job to do. Just depends what part of the US you live in. My daughter had a 93 Accord and I bought the seals for 35.00 and replaced the my self but I have been working on vehicles for 30 years. That job requires special tools. Hope this helped.
This is exactly the way it is supposed to be. The spark virtually never occurs at TDC. The spark is always advanced somewhat, sometimes as much as 45 degrees if the engine is reving high and at minimal load. The distributor is made so that the rotor points to the cap terminal within it's operating range...usually between 15 and 30 degrees before the #1 piston reaches the top of it's travel. Hope this helps. Do you have a problem?
they don't use gaskets on oil sumps its sealant glue and yes u will have to reapply it when you put the sump back on, and what do u mean by main seal? do you mean the head gasket?
