Battery is probably low.when trying cranking for a period of time battery get weak thats why battery light on.charge battery.to see if it hold a charge.when battery fully charged it should be 12.5 volts.with engine running alternator out put should be 13.5 to 14.5.if not replace the alternator.or have it tested.when replacing valve covers make sure your pvc valve.in valve cover in place if not your car will stall out and idle rough.your oil leak on inside of your car from a leaking oil line to oil pressure gauge.thats why your oil light is on.

Nissan 200sx 2.0, misses and wont stay running in gear and wont idle at times in park. Other times runs gr8. Oil inside dist cap?

Oil in the distributor will do that. But why is oil getting in there? The positive crankcase ventilation(PCV valve) should prevent this. Plus the should be one seal on the distributor and /or cam. I would pull the distributor and check for sloppiness. Also check for the cap seal. Oil could be from the valve cover.

the iac ( idle air control ) needs cleaned or replaced. it controls the idling of vehicle. Also, try cleaning your throttle body. It's probably quite filthy. you can use carb cleaner to clean iac. but do not put body of iac in any liquid, just clean the valve on end. do not push it in they are preset for proper idle. have a good day !!

My car will stall when stopping. I have found oil in the air filter compartment, and the car runs well otherwise. In other cars I have owned this was fixed by replacing the PCV valve, yet I was unable to...

Yes, this vehicle is equipped with a PCV valve!

It is located underneath the intake manifold, slightly above the oil filter.

Although difficult to see, if you look from the driver's side through an opening under the intake manifold, you'll see a sensor. Look to the left of the sensor and slightly below for your PCV valve.

It is a little elbow with a clamp and may be covered in oil.

Your patience and dexterity will be tried, however you can replace it yourself.

Please let me know if I may assist further.

My truck will not stay crunk after i replaced the starter and the alternator.

What do you mean it wont stay crunk?

If you mean it wont stay running, you probably got some wires in the wrong location, or you didnt hook up the ignition wire.

I have an oil leak in a spark plug chamber how do is fix it

depends where the oil came from.of it has leaked down from a valve cover gasket, that is not hard to fix.if it a leaking valve seal that is expensive and if the head gasket is leaking, expensive.look at the outside edge of the valve cover, and check the edge for oil.if there is alot of oil,by the time the plug is unscrewed oil can go inside.the oil would burn off,so if there is oil inside it is dripping down probably from a valve seal.take off the valve cover and inspect the seals they are probably no good.there are 2 seal sets, one is in the valve cover, and that results in oil on the outside of the plug, and the actual valve seal which results in oil in the inside of the engine.
