My brake lights dont work i change the swich and still wont work
First, check that one of the wires going to the brake switch is grounded. If not, then you have a bad ground usually caused by water intrusion. Next, make sure you have adjusted the switch hieght correctly so that it is being activated by the pedal. Last, it might be as simple as a fuse.
Have you checked the ground? Verify power at brake light switch connector, and if so, verify power to tail lamp? Start with the simple stuff, most issues are easily overlooked.

Replace the bubs and/or check the wiring connections with a electrical tester for power.

When you first turn the key you should hear a buzzing sound coming from the fuel pump if not check your fuses if they all check ok then it is probably a fauty fuel pump

To set the hour, press and hold the CLK control and press SEEK. (Use arrows to increase or decrease hours). To set the minutes, press and hold the CLK control and press TUNE and use arrows.
This should work unless your vehicle has a separate clock module.(Other than the digital radio display).

There should be some adjustment on it, if not replace it, it's about a $12 item.
SOURCE: 98 Ford Explorer Brake lights not working, top brake light does
I had a similar problem like this with my 98 explorer once; neither brake lights worked and the top one stayed on very dimly at all times. It turns out both of my brake lights went bad at exactly the same time, which for some reason made the top light stay on. Felt like an idiot, but all I needed to do was change the bulbs.
