SOURCE: flasher button location in 1996 oldsmobile bravada

Do you mean the Emergency Flasher?

This is located on top of the steering column. Push in to activate. Push again to deactivate.

Some models also have the switch located at the 4 o'clock position of the steering column. Just below the starter key and a bit further back. It is round and black. There is a collar that moves around the button. Push in the center of that button to activate. Pull on the collar to deactivate.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: I have a 99 oldsmobile

Hi, this code could indicate a wiring issue or a problem with the sensor itself. A new sensor is about $40. The sensor is on the back of the engine as shown in the picture below. If you have an ohmmeter, I recommend you check the continuity of the wire from the sensor to the computer. The computer is in the passenger side door pillar. Locate connector B, pin 19. You do not need to disconnect the computer to check continuity of the wire. Just probe the back of the connector at the dark blue wire, pull the connector off the sensor, and touch your other ohmmeter probe to the terminal in the knock sensor connector. There should be one ohm or less resistance in the wire. If resistance is higher than one ohm, repair or replace the wire. If resistance is good, unscrew and replace the sensor. Please let me know if you have questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

Have a 98 Olds Bravada it has a noise coming from rear of engine on the passenger side. Dealership said it was possible a transmission issue. I think differently, b/c the noise is at park or drive.

Depends on the noise. Tapping or knocking is rod bearings, engine side. Whining is the transmission side. Torque converter, pump, and parts further inside the transmission.

I have a 2002 oldsmobile bravada when I turn a corner, it kicks

Sounds a lot like a CV joint. Constant Velocity joint. A quick search online shows a price in about the $100.00 area. It's pretty common for these things to go out after a few years depending on your driving habits. Usually it starts out with a clicking sound as you turn. Eventually it turns into a knocking sound. Yours sounds like it's pretty bad, I'd say you got your moneys worth out of her.

Who knows what the dealership might charge, my guess, $300.00 or so for the part, plus about $200.00 labor?

You could probably save about $200.00 or so taking it to a non-dealership. At least you know what to expect now anyway. Hope this was helpful, if so please remember to rate me. Thanks.
