1998 Saturn SL just won't start anymore.

It was running fine. Suddenly it just doesn't start anymore. BTW, it has manual roll-up windows and old-fashioned seats and no anti-theft system.

Assuming it will turn over ('cranks"), my bet would be the crank sensor has failed, and it is not to difficult to change if you can get the car in the air high enough to get fully under it. The sensor is located just above the starter, on the side of the engine closest to the firewall. It is held in place by one bolt, and you will need to remove the electrical connector to remove it. a new one is usually less than $50, and almost any auto repair shop should be able to replace it for less than $125.

Done cars have a kill switch if they are low on oil. Check your oil. If the oil is good, it may be the ignition switch.

2002 saturn sl won't start, turn over but won't start

If the engine fires up for a second or two with starting fluid then the fuel pump is weak.I would check the fuel pressure and if its not within the specs then replace the pump and filter.
