SOURCE: buick regal 3.1 new battery new fuel filter won't start

I agree. that's preety much all there is to the fuel system. All fuel rails have the release valve. If you could get your hands on fuel pressure tester, that would be helpful. Also have someone stand by tank and listen to see if they hear the pump kick on when you turn car to on position

SOURCE: buick regal 92 3.8L Horrible fuel mileage

Sounds like you might have an oxygen sensor problem. Your catalytic converter(s) maybe defective or dirty. That in turn can dirty up the oxygen sensor. A defective oxygen sensor will send faulty info to the computer, interpreting the fumes as cold (even when the engine warms up). That causes the computer to adjust the fuel mixture to very rich, giving you poor gas mileage and the fuel smell. Hope it helps.

SOURCE: I have a 1990 Buick Regal that stalls...

You might try a crank sensor, most of the time if you pull it out you may see a crack in it. It's between the top of the oil pan an the transmission, good luck.

Buick regal keeps stalling and losses power going up hill.

loss of power can be a number of things, exhaust leak around manifold. air leak on vacuum lines, fuel pressure low or pump not working 100% blocked fuel filter, weak ignition spark, timing out. can also be the fuel using. air filter blocked. all these can limit power, but if its mostly on inclines it would be more on the fuel side.

1993 Buick Regal GS 3.8.....starts hard to keep running , stalls out , no codes on the dash replaced fuel filter. I guess the pump is next. or could it be a sensor

hawkeye 30: yeah, probably the pump. A sensor malfunction would still let it run in "open loop" mode.
Before you tackle the pump, though, I'd recommend getting a fuel pressure check at the engine. Also check if you have 12 volts going to the pump at the elec. connector at the tank. good luck.

I have an 1990 buick regal custom and stalls when im griving it then dies can anyone help me on how to fix it.

Sounds to me like a fuel filter. When was the last time it was changed?Because if a car starts and runs till you give it gas under load then dies it is a fuel problem.Start by chaging fuel filter and if problem still persists then next thing to check is fuel pump.

Idealing issues

Needs a tune-up:

Spark plugs and wires and distributor & rotor.

Do wires last... the others probably need to be done.

Hope this helps!
