2006 impala 3.5 LT check engine and service traction control? Code: P2138

DTC P2138: Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor 1-2 Correlation
Electronic throttle control problem .
The throttle actuator control (TAC) system delivers improved throttle response and greater reliability and eliminates the need for mechanical cable. The TAC system performs the following functions:
• Accelerator pedal position sensing
• Throttle positioning to meet driver and engine demands
• Throttle position sensing
• Internal diagnostics
• Cruise control functions
• Manage TAC electrical power consumption
The TAC system includes the following components:
• The accelerator pedal position (APP) sensors
• The throttle body assembly
• The engine control module (ECM)

Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor
The accelerator pedal contains 2 individual accelerator pedal position (APP) sensors within the assembly. The APP sensors 1 and 2 are potentiometer type sensors each with 3 circuits:
• A 5-volt reference circuit
• A low reference circuit
• A signal circuit
The APP sensors are used to determine the pedal angle. The engine control module (ECM) provides each APP sensor a 5-volt reference circuit and a low reference circuit. The APP sensors provide the ECM with signal voltage proportional to the pedal movement. The APP sensor 1 signal voltage at rest position is less than 1 volt and increases to more than 4 volts as the pedal is actuated. The APP sensor 2 signal voltage at rest position is less than 0.6 volt and increases to more than 2 volts as the pedal is actuated.

I got a code P1150 only 2000 Sienna LE, which I guess means Bank 2 Sensor 1. I am looking at Denso replacement part. It has upstream left (234-9007) and upstream right (234-9009). Is bank 2 sensor 1,...

Ravi, I also have the same issue and confused between upstream left and right location.

I have problem with bank 2 sensor 1 and want to purchase a part. There are two part numbers 234-9007 for upstream left and 234-9009 for right.

So not sure the one on radiator (bank 2 sensor 1) side is upstream left or upstream right.

If you already know can you please reply?

O2 sensor location

You didnt say what eng you have, but all have 4 O2's sensors, 2 upstreams, 2 down streams, left side up is 1/1,left side dwn is 2/1, right side up is 1/2, right side dwn is 2/2, on the exhaust system, always 2 sensor before the cats and 2 after the cats, depending on fuse, 5 v supply to sensors or 12v to the heater part of sensor, you have a short to ground in the harness of one sensor, check all harness and wiring, or a internal short in one sensor, there is also a relay that cotrolls the o2 sensors, swap it out, if you need more info, just ask. GOOD LUCK, RDJRP

I have a hummer h2 2003 whith a p0135 heater mal funtion bank 1 sensor 1

What you have to do is replace the o2 sensor on bank 1 sensor 1.This is the front sensor on the left side on the exhaust system.Left side is bank 1 and right side is bank 2.Make sure the connections are good first.Usually it`s the internal heater in the o2 sensor.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Po138 code on 96 chevy tahoe 5.7l where do i start testing

P0138 is a code for an unexpected high voltage in the post cat o2 sensor on the left side (bank 1 sensor 2). It often is a result of an internal short between the oxygen sensor heater and the actual oxygen sensor. I would clear the core and if it returns replace the sensor.
