Ok there is a few things one when a car is put in to park a pin slides in to the flywheel push the car forword and pu on the e-brake then try to pull the car out of park. also there is a push button under the brake pedal make shure it has a good conection and try that might need replaced.it controlls the brake lights and an electronic sencor to disengage the car from park by letting the car know the brakes are on.

My alternator went out on 2004 Chevy trailblazer and the key locked up in the ignition how do i get it to unlock

sounds like you need to try jumping it, you lost voltage and the btsi solenoind is probably locking you out of putting it into park and being able to turn the key back

2004 4WD Trailblazer didn't start this morning. No crank, no ticking but some power to accessories. My son tried to put window down and the radio came on. Later in the day, the radio came on...

I had the key stuck once. Make sure the key is in the off position. Make sure the steering wheel is not locked against a stop. The vehicle must be in park and try stepping on the brake. Try jumping the car with another car or battery pack.

My key wont turn off after i put my 2004 chevy trailblazer in park

your shifter linkage may need adjusting at the mounting point on the transmission. it may be off a little making the car's computer think you're still in reverse.

My husband turned off our Chevy Trailblazer without putting it in gear and now it won''t start and the gear shift is lock up. What do you do to fix it????

first make sure battery isn't dead because if he cut it off in gear then the switch couldn't cut the power off and it'll run the battery down and there is a electrical solenoid that allows the shifter to move if theres no voltage than the shifter want go into park and the ignition switch want turn off.

2004 Ford Taurus, problem started last night. Drove to store, came home & parked. Tried to restart to park closer to curb and would not start. Engine did not turn over. Got low oil pressure message,...

Well your vehicle is indicating a problem, did you or your husband check the oil quantity? If it is low replenish the quantity. Also your battery seems to be failing, when you park it for a long time it will gain a little bit of power, thus when you come outside in the morning it would be better off then if you turned off the car and ran into the gas station to refuel and tried to take off. This shouldn't be a problem if your alternator is working properly and charging the vehicle while you drive. You may want to have your husband remove it and bench test it at a Checkers/Autozone or a local auto parts facility.
