Warning light I have a Volvo 850S estate 1995 2.3 and recently whilst towing our caravan a light came on on the dashboard it is ' A green triangle with what looks like a brake pedal in the centre and this is in an orange square. I have not got the handbook for the car as we have only just bought the car. HELP

Does the symbol look like an upside down y? If so it is the lambda sign (the elleventh character of the greek alphabet), meaning that there is something fishy going on with the emissions part of the cars engine management.
Try to disconnect the battery over night and see if it goes away. If not you could bring the car by the local Volvo garage and have them read fault codes and reset them for you, usually without cost.
I'm thinking that it might somehow have been triggered by the towing, and that it will go away when reset. I would therefore advice you not to do any repairs before you've tried having the codes cleared and driving around for a while to see if the light reappears.
