Run this diagnostic
Test Procedures 
1. Check if DTC P0110 is set in addition to DTC P0105 or P0106. If DTC P0110 is set, go to next 
step. If DTC P0110 is not set, go to step 3 . 
2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect MAP sensor 4-pin connector. Measure resistance between ground 
and MAP sensor connector terminal No. 4 (Green wire). If resistance is one ohm or less, replace 
MAP sensor. If resistance is more than one ohm, repair open in Green wire between MAP sensor 
and ECM connector terminal No. 48. After repairs, clear DTC and verify MAP sensor operation. 
3. Turn ignition off. Disconnect MAP sensor 4-pin connector. Measure resistance between MAP 
sensor connector terminals No. 1 and 4 (component side). Resistance should be about 30,000 
ohms. If resistance is as specified, go to next step. If resistance is not as specified, replace MAP 
sensor. After repairs, clear DTC and verify MAP sensor operation. 
4. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and MAP sensor connector terminal No. 2 
(Red wire). Voltage should be about 5 volts. If voltage is as specified, go to next step. If voltage is 
not as specified, repair open in Red wire between ECM connector terminal no. 44 and MAP 
sensor connector terminal No. 2. After repairs, clear DTC and verify MAP sensor operation. 
5. Turn ignition off. Disconnect ECM 63-pin connector. Check for continuity between ground and 
MAP sensor connector terminal No. 1 (Green wire). If continuity does not exist, go to next step. If 
continuity exists, repair short to ground in Green wire between MAP sensor and ECM. After 
repairs, clear DTC and verify MAP sensor operation. 
6. Reconnect MAP sensor connector and ECM connector. Turn ignition on. Backprobe MAP sensor 
connector and measure voltage between ground and MAP sensor connector terminal No. 1 (Green 
wire). Voltage should be 0.2-4.5 volts. If voltage is as specified, go to next step. If voltage is not 
as specified, replace MAP sensor. After repairs, clear DTC and verify MAP sensor operation. 
7. Check ECM connector for loose or damaged terminals. If problem exists, repair ECM connector. 
If problem does not exist, replace MAP. Clear DTC and verify system operation. If problem still 
exists, replace ECM. After repairs, clear DTC and verify system operation.

Where is the mac sensor locatedf
Hi.

If you are referring to the airflow sensor, that is located in the air intake. The sensor is not a mac sensor (there is a sensor with that name used in racing engines) but a MAP (mainfold air pressure) sensor.

The picture below shows the location of the sensor:

My 2001 Hyundai Elantra issue: The check engine light will come on randomly and the car will kick/jump and then the car takes forever to accelorate. Eventually the car check engine light will reset itself...
Here were the symptoms for my 2001 Elantra before getting at the solution... My car would have very sluggish acceleration, strangely a little at or around 35mph, and then even worse at or around 55mph. It would chug and lunge, and if I floored it, the car would slowly climb in speed.
I've heard that you want to be careful to get these issues fixed quickly as these symptoms can be tough on the transmission in the mean time. So, the solution for my car was the MAP sensor. Some auto parts stores (autozone worked for me) will read your car's check engine light and be able to suggest a direction to start looking. That code pointed me to an exact answer on this site for the exact code that my car was throwing. I bought the new MAP sensor after some web research (these sensors aren't cheap after all) and two simple bolts and a wiring clip and the problem was solved! I have to admit that I tried to clean the old one first with electronics cleaner, but that didn't work at all. Good luck!

My Car Hyundai Elantra GLS 2001 check enigne light is on.. and I received code P0107, P0715, P1500...What is the real problem? Can it be Fixed, if Yes, What the total cost will occur to fix these problem?
Any problem can be fixed with a little diagnosis. Well the P0107 is a MAP sensor code( Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor) this is usually caused by a bad sensor or a bad connection, a vacuum leak could also cause this code to appear. The P0175 is a input shaft turbine speed sensor which is in the tranny, the P1500 is a vehicle speed sensor which is also in the trans. I would start and look for a possible bad ground or a bad connection on the trans. Does your speedo work? If you cannot find any bad grounds or bad connections, have the codes cleared and drive the car and see which codes come back. You would be surprised what kind of problems a bad ground can do...... Hope this helps you out......

I just came from an Autozone, and then spoke with 2 Hyundai dealership service departments and they all three stated the P0113 code is the Intake Air Temperature sensor (IAT, also referred to as the Mass Air Pressure - MAP - sensor) on the engine, not an O2 sensor found in the exhaust system.
