The car will stall out like the feul pump stoped working but then a couple minutes later will start back up. Then a lil farther down the road it will stall again and so on, again and again over the last couple of weeks. So my question is is it the fuel pump or cojuld it be something else? replaced the filter n relay already n using heat as well.
The pump should run quietly. Do you hear a load hum while driving? When it stalls, with the key on and everything quiet in the car you should hear a faint hum when you turn just the key on ( not cranking the engine over ) this last only a few seconds. If you hear that. The pump is working you might have another problem. Let me know

A friend had a toyota which did the same. The problem was the coil inside the distributor. once he replaced it all was well. The problem was the coil leaking and getting hot and then shutting the engine down. Once it cooled off it would run for about 15 to 30 minutes. He spent several weekends working on it and replacing electronics and finally checked inside the distributor and there was the problem.

If you replaced the fuel pump then there is a possibility that during the job then some debris from the tank and/or filter got loose somewhere into the fuel system and is in your lines. It could even be a very tiny speck of gasket material, old or new.

Check the spark plug/ coil housing. The factory one was made with recycled plastic that contains aluminum flakes. This causes the plugs to arc out. The replacement housing is white (all plastic) while the original one is black/gray.

What you should do is check for spark when the vehicle stalls.If you have no spark then you probably have a bad ignition module.The other thing is You didn`t mention if the check engine light is coming on.If it is then have the codes read.Even if it is not you should still check the codes.Sometimes the computer will have a code and the light will not come on.This could give you a clue as to what could be causing the engine to stall.You might also want to check your fuel pressure just to make sure it is good.The pressure should be 52 - 59 psi.Hope this helps.Good luck.
