SOURCE: How do I check the transmission fluid on a 2009

below is info from the owners manual. I do not have a repair manual, but you may be able to buy one that would say how to check the transmission fluid on the 3.5L. It sounds like they don't expect you will need to check it.

Fluid Level Check - Vehicles with 3.5L Engine

The automatic transaxle has no dipstick and is dealer

serviced only.

Fluid Level Check - Vehicles with 2.4L and 2.7L

Engines

Use the following procedure to check the automatic

transaxle fluid level properly:

1. Park the vehicle on level ground.

2. Run the engine at curb idle speed for a minimum of 60

seconds.

3. Apply the parking brake fully.

4. Place the shift lever momentarily in each gear position

ending with the lever in PARK.

5. Wipe the area around the dipstick clean to eliminate
the possibility of dirt entering the transaxle.

6. Remove the dipstick and determine if the fluid is hot

or cold. Hot fluid is approximately 180°F (82°C), which is

the normal operating temperature after the vehicle is

driven at least 15 mi (24 km). Hot fluid cannot be held

comfortably between the fingertips. Cold fluid is at a

temperature below 80°F (27°C).

7. Wipe the dipstick clean and reinsert until seated. Then,

remove dipstick and note the reading.

a. If the fluid is hot, the reading should be in the

crosshatched area marked "HOT" (between the upper

two holes in the dipstick).

b. If the fluid is cold, the fluid level should be between

the lower two holes in the area marked "COLD."

If the fluid level is low, add sufficient fluid through the

filler (dipstick) tube to bring it to the proper level. Do not
overfill.

SOURCE: 2009 dodge journey...rear brake

If the e-brake cable is attached to caliper the piston is threaded. I use a very inexpensive tool i bought at the parts store . you will need to turn and press the piston at the same time. be aware that the two different sides are threaded oposite of each other. If the e-brake cable is not attached to caliperr the a c clamp should do the job.

2009 malibu ls 2.4 got codes c0516 p0010 p0011 p0014 p0445 p0449

These are very common codes on this engine and is related to the intake and exhaust camshaft actuator solenoids. GM has had huge problems with the solenoids. Remove the connector and use an ohmmeter to check the resistance of both. They should be 5-9 ohms. If not, replace them. Replacing is the most common fix. BUT that all depends on whether you've been good about changing your oil. Both of these solenoids meter oil to the variable valve timing mechanism. If you've neglected oil changes, sludge can gum up the solenoids and cause these codes.

I have a 2010 hhr chevy. im getting a no correlation code. cam and crank sensors. 0016 and 0017 codes. does anyone know the real prob?

Not without having the vehicle here an doing some testing .
DTC P0016: Crankshaft Position (CKP) - Intake Camshaft Position (CMP) Correlation
DTC P0017: Crankshaft Position (CKP) - Exhaust Camshaft Position (CMP) Correlation

Circuit/System Verification
Note: The scan tool control of the CMP actuator is inhibited when DTC P0016 or P0017 sets.
Command each CMP actuator to 25 percent. The CMP actuator angle desired parameter should match the CMP actuator actual parameter.
Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Circuit/System Testing
Note: Incorrect engine oil viscosity, aftermarket engine oil additives, or engine oil that is overdue for changing, can greatly affect the performance of the camshaft actuator.
Ignition OFF, inspect the crankshaft balancer bolt for the proper torque. Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications.
Remove the CMP actuator solenoid. Refer to Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Replacement.
Connect a fused jumper wire between the CMP actuator high control circuit terminal A at the solenoid and B+. Connect a jumper wire to the CMP actuator low reference circuit terminal B at the solenoid. Momentarily touch the jumper wire to ground. Observe the spool valve inside the CMP actuator. The spool valve should move from fully closed to fully opened position.
? If the spool valve inside the CMP actuator solenoid does not move, replace the CMP actuator solenoid.
Inspect the CMP actuator for binding or being stuck.
Inspect the engine for the following conditions:
• An incorrectly installed camshaft sensor
• An incorrectly installed crankshaft sensor
• An incorrectly installed camshaft actuator
• Incorrect valve timing
• A loose camshaft reluctor wheel
• A loose crankshaft reluctor wheel
• Excessive crankshaft end play

Camshaft sensor in 2009 hhr

You should probably take the car to a reliable shop or the dealer for that problem because those codes pertain to the intake and exhaust camshaft position actuator valves - not the sensor itself. It's more than just simply replacing the sensor for that problem.

Code p0014 exhaust and code p0015 exhaust

The code P0014 is for Camshaft Positon Sensor Actuator Bank 1. The possible causes are incorrect camshaft timing, wiring problems (harness/wiring) in intake timing control valve solenoid system; continuous oil flows to VCT piston chamber or failed timing valve control solenoid(stuck open).
The code P0015 is for Camshaft Position -Timing Over-******** (Bank 1). Your problem will probably be that the timing will be slightly out, due to wear (stretch) of the timing chain; this will all be linked to the overall cold start issue and the timing position. Get that timing checked, or push for the full fix for the cold start timing issue.
