There are two switches on the brake pedal, one for brake light, and one that kicks out the cruise when you hit the brake. That switch is closed when depressed (ie; brake pedal is up) and opens when pedal is pushed away from the switch, (unlike the brake light switch which closes when the pedal is pushed). This means it must be positioned and adjusted correctly for cruise to work.

Our Sedona had a similar problem, Turned out that the pipes to the rear heater had corroded and were leaking, caused some overheating which blew hot air when the A/C was on. I would check this then check the coolant pressure.

Well Im hoping that by telling you to check your cruise control wiring and vacuum routing for broken, unplugged wires or vacuum hoses you just might find that a simple vacuum line is in need of attention. good luck
