I HAVE A 2004 TOYOTA CAMRY. I HEAR A ROARING NOISE COMING FROM LEFT FRONT BY THE TIRE. I CAN HEAR IT WHILE IN THE CAR. THE FASTER I GO THE LOUDER IT GETS. IT MAKES THIS NOISE WHILE GOING STRAIGHT AND GETS LOUDER WHEN MAKING RIGHT TURNS. NO NOISE WHILE MAKING LEFT TURNS. I JUST BOUGHT NEW TIRES AND HAD FRONT END ALIGNED. COULD IT BE WORN BEARINGS OR TRANSMISSION?

Sounds to me like its a cv joint. if the rubber boot gets damaged in any way, dirt gets in there and really does some damage. check the boot really good. if you dont see any holes or anything it might just be the wheel bearing. id take it to a mechanic and ask him to just look at it. usually they wont charge ya.

Wheel bearing? If you turn left and it gets louder. It is the right wheel bearing. And vice versa.

2002 camery roaring from front seems louder when slowing down. It is not brakes

check wheel bearing...transmission output shaft bearing. noise is louder because when bearing slow down, they get louder from worn down ball bearing inside the cage, space is developing between the ball bearing..caused by lack of lubricate, or just worn out bearings

When im driving the car moans and moans even louder when i turn the wheel, the faster i drive the louder the sound gets

You should check the power steering fluid level first. However, you said the noise gets louder if you turn the wheel. That sounds like a front hub bearing. To check the front and rear hubs, raise the tires off the ground one at a time. Try to move the tire in & out at the top, sides and bottom. spin the tire if you can. Only a tiny amount of play, if any, is acceptable. If you hear or feel rumbling or roughness when turning the tire, the hub is bad and must be replaced

2001 toyota corolla I have a loud roaring seens like it from the right front wheel.

THIS NOISE IS CAUSED BY A POSSIBLE WHEEL BEARING
WHEN YOU DRIVE THE VEHICLE YOU SHOULD HEAR A ROARING NOISE AND AS YOU GO FASTER THE NOISE WILL GET LOUDER AND WHEN YOU TURN THE WHEEL FROM SIDE TO SIDE THE NOISE WILL FADE IN AND OUT. THIS IS AN INDICATION THAT THE WHEEL BEARING IS BAD.
ALSO ANOTHER WAY WOULD BE TO JACK UP THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE, BLOCK OFF THE REAR WHEELS SO THE CAR DOES NOT ROLL BACK ON YOU, THEN PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL AND GO TO THE WHEEL PUT YOUR HAND ON THE STRUT BASE AND SPIN THE TIRE WITH YOUR OTHER HAND YOU SHOULD FEEL A GRINDING NOISE. IF SO THE WHEEL BEARING ON THAT PARTICULAR SIDE IS BAD AND IT NEEDS TO BE CHANGED

I have a 2004 Toyota Matrix with a vibration noise coming from the front end. The noise gets louder the faster you drive and is present even when you push in on the clutch and put it in neutral. If the driver jerks the wheel to the right when driving the noise stops for a second. The noise keep up at the same pitch if you **** the wheel to Left. If you think it's a wheel bearing, which side would you guess?

My car makes a bad growling noise. Everyone said that it was a front wheel bearing because that tire was worn down really bad on the outside. I replaced the passenger front wheel bearing, and it is still...

WHEEL BEARING USUALLY STARTS MAKING A ROARING TYPE NOISE WHICH USUALLY GETS LOUDER THE FASTER YOU DRIVE, SOMETIMES THEY WILL BE LOOSE , TO CHECK JACK UP THAT WHEEL AND GRAB TOP AND BOTTOM OF TIRE AND SHAKE, IF THERE IS MOVEMENT, TRY TO GET SOMEONE TO ROCK TIRE FOR YPU AND WATCH WHERE AXLE GOES INTO CENTER OF BEARING AND SEE IF AXLE IS MOVING WITH TIRE MOVEMENT AND SPINDLE REMAINS STATIONARY, THEN IT IS BAD BEARING, OR SOMETIMES THERE WILL BE NO MOVEMENT, THEN BLOCK REAR WHEELS AND RUN CAR WITH THAT WHEEL IN AIR AND SEE IF YOU HEAR NOISE, GOOD LUCK.

Wierd noise

Sounds like a wheel bearing going, or gone. Possible tire/alignment, but more than likely, wheel bearing. You going to fix, or have it fixed?

On crysler 2000 lhs i have a roaring soun coming from the right tire that sounds like its getting louder

Hi my name is Allen!

With roaring noises coming from the wheel area, we must be very careful in diagnosis because it could be the "Wheel Bearing" which is the most likely cause, but it also can be a tire itself.

Here is how to see which one it is, take the rear tire and put it on the front and put the front tire on the rear.

Next drive the vehicle, if the noise went to the rear of the vehicle and is no longer in the front, then you know its the tire. If the noise is still in the front then you know its the wheel bearing or the CV Joint, but if you do not hear a clicking noise when turning sharply both ways while moving then you most likely can rule out the CV Joints also. Then you know for sure without a doubt it is the wheel bearing.
