Do the timing marks on the gears line up at TDC or not on a kia k2700 motor
Makes no difference where the piston is, no matter the make of the vehicle, the timing marks on the gears MUST line up with each other or by factory settings if a chain is used on an overhead cam. I don't know Kia operations or settings, it's just a normal rule that the marks on the gears must always be adjacent to each other in order for all cam timing to be correct. This isn't timing the firing of the cylinders, that's through the distributor setting. Your just timing the cam with those marks. Distributor timing marks are on the balancer on the front of the crankshaft, which you've yet to put on.
