I hooked my battery up backwards. It took out the headlights and the heater fan. Replaced the light switch and still nothing but after much test lighting I found out the fan switch is still good. All fuses and relay are good under the hood. What could this be? Are there more relays for these two things I don't know about? Also all ground wires are still in tact.

Did the battery explode, or leak, do you have power anywhere else? If so you need a new battery. And yes there are other fuses under the hood, normally next to the inside of the fenders.

Please provide CLARITY of your problem(s). There is NO way we might help unless you can type and communicate clearly, logically and sensibly. First of all, "No head lights, left... " .. .what does this mean? Secondly, what is 'anti-start' that works?
Here's the wiring diagrams of the systems you mentioned. We can't offer any solutions unless you have 'specific' problem solving descriptions of your efforts to fix those problems.

c9739e3.jpg You will need to check for power & ground at each component to isolate the problem. I suggest you use a test light for power as well at a test light to verify the ground exists. Any absense of power or ground will render the circuit inoperative.

I would recommend replacing your relay. From what you have described your battery might be bad. The clicking you heard is consistent with this. Natuarally though the relay is probably cheaper to fix. Also if you're car was slow to start or was dragging when you were trying to start it, you may have a bad starter, which would cause the aforementioned

Go to www.hmaservice.com and register your vehicle by VIN #. You'll then have access to shop manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, etc. Hope this helps.

When I turn on the a/c or heater nothing comes out,it was working fine, replaced the battery and alternator, now dosent work in front but the back works fine

Exterior fan under the hood near firewall may not be getting the feed from the dash switch or is malfunctioned. Check for any fuses that may be blown and test the wiring at the heater core fan for 12 volt DC currant with a test light as switch on the dash is turned on

Dash lights and parking lights stay on after key is off and dimmer switch is working backwards replaced both headlight switch and dimmer control

the key position has nothing to do with the lights staying on.
That function is controlled by the headlight switch.
Make sure the wires going to it are in the correct location.
Sounds to me like you have 2 wires crossed. (dimmer working backwards)

Battery light, ABS light, and Oil light flashes on and off when driving the car. Dash lights, front marker lights, and tail lights will not come on until the car is warmed up.

Electrical problems are hard to fix. You need a voltage test for the charging system and a battery test.

The oil light, abs light, are not hooked up to the turn signals. Never heard of balance of lights coming on in that manner.

The heater fan, headlights, and wipers will slow if the charging system can not keep up. Battery light is accurate to show discharge.

Trans shifts can be affected by voltage. Some transmissions use electric solenoids to shift and they mix voltage to get different gears.

Hyundai accent 2001 will not start all lights work radio works heater fan works battery in 3 months old when I turn the key all i hear is a humming sound for about 1 min. than nothing. weather has be

The humming would be the fuel pump coming on. It should only hum for a few seconds, then shut off.
Your problem is with the start circuit from the battery to the starter, or from the ignition switch to the starter solenoid. Check the connections at the starter (the big cable) for tightness.
Is the battery charged up enough to turn the engine over? Check by turning headlights on and observe while someone turns key to crank. If they dim a LOT, then either battery is too low, or the starter is bad and needs removing for testing. If brightness doesn't change, then the circuit from ignition switch to starter solenoid is likely not working. Check for 12 volts at the small wire to starter solenoid with key in cranking position. If you have power there, the solenoid may be bad. Remove starter for testing. If no power at solenoid in starting position, then either the ignition switch is bad or the neutral safety switch might be the problem, or the wiring from the switch to the starter solenoid is not passing current.
Good luck.

I have the same problem, own a 2005pt,took starter off,had it testted at a parts store,it tested good, replaced battery(new),put key in , all lights work, windows, radio, headlights, when i put key in switch...

Check the leads to the starter motor again. There should be the negative battery lead, and two more wires. One has to be faulty. The battery is obviously OK.

If the wires are correct, undo the starter and slide it out, rock the car forward when it is in gear. This will move the flywheel. The flywheel might not be engaging with the starter teeth, hence nothing.

Vote for me if this helps, thanks.

04 pontiac sunfire battery light and panel lights dim

sounds like your alternator. if you have a multimeter then turn on your car and turn your headlights on/ac and heater fan on high/wipers on and blinkers on. once they are all on hook the meter to the battery and if it reads less then 14 volts then the alt is bad. or you can just take it to a shop and have it tested.
