It is on the passenger side, you have to remove the black plastic kick plate, below the glove box, to expose it (held in place with 2 latches and 1 push pin). The resistor is in front of the blower motor ( sandwiched between the motor housing and the firewall) it is tricky to get to, i think when i changed mine i didnt replace all the screws as they were difficult to remove and even harder to replace. Good Luck, Mike

When i got to the resistor i took the front single screw out then pried the unit leaving the two back screws in the back it will come off. Then when putting it back together i just slide it underneath and put in the one screw.

2000 Chevrolet Impala blower motor work from 1-4 but not on 5th speed why?

The blower motor relay is energized when the Blower Motor Control is set to the High position. This removes the blower motor resistors from the circuit and battery voltage is then applied directly from the HVAC BLO fuse (RH IP Accessory Wiring Junction Block) to the blower motor though the relay switch contacts. The blower motor then runs at high speed.

HVAC Blower Controls Circuit Description
The blower motor is a variable speed motor. The motor operates at a higher rate when voltage is increased to the maximum level.
The blower motor resistors reduce the voltage supplied from the A/C FAN fuse (LH IP Accessory Wiring Junction Block) when the blower control is set at low and medium speeds (speeds 1-4).

Where is the blower motor relay location on a 2005 Chevy Impala

The blower motor resistor is located under the dash on the passengers side between the blower motor and the fire wall. You will need to remove the hush panel first, also if you remove the blower motor the resistor will be easier to replace.

2005 Kia Sorento only blows hot and cold air on high. Is it a blower motor resistor and if it is where is it located?

If the blower moter only works on hi speed it is the blower motor resistor that is bad. The blower motor resistor is located under the passenger side of the dash next to the blower motor. It is not necessary to remove the blower motor to change the resistor.

Blower motor will not turn off when car is off.

If it's only working on high setting it is usually the blower resistor that needs replacing. They are usually located under dash, passenger side, remove cover, and it should be bolted or screwed near blower motor itself. $10-$20 part
