You have a blowin head gasket, Verry costly to have repaired, Plan on $2000 end up.

Sounds like a bad wheel bearing.

Remove AC belt. remove pipes & unscrew the compressor

Multiple engine misfire is related to the coils and the ignition control module. I have a 2002 with the 3.8 engine. It has three coils. I just went through this problem. I bought one coil and tried it in each position with no improvement. It was the ignition control module. Mine is located under the three coils. A relatively easy item to replace. Cost about $140.

kind of tricky, took me an hour to get it figured out, but you got to opend the trunk and take out the 10 or so 10mm nuts sticking out of the backside of the lid, then the whole solid piece where the lights are on the back will slide off, then you can change the bulbs above the license plate and put it all back together

I'm going to have to replace both front bearings on my 2000 Lesabre as well. Mind firing the diagram off to me as well? Thanks a million.

Replace the compressor. It is locking up and will burn up a belt.
