I have a 1994 plymouth voyager and it stalls.

When I start my van up in the morning it is fine. When put it in drive it's fine, but when I go to the stop signs it stalls. When I get it on the highway it's fine. Then when I go to a stop sign it's fine. Then it stalls when I am at a slower speed.

I have a 3.0 L engine V6, I have changed the filter(oil and air), spark plugs, fuel pump. I have gotten it diagnosed about 2 weeks ago and they said it was a loose bolt and they tightened it up. Do you think that they loosened something else? It cost me 75 bucks to get it diagnosed. I don't have that kind of money? Please help!

I had the same problem with mine. It ended up being the catalytic converter was clogged.

Have someone get under the van and rattle (kick, hit with hammer or something) the catalytic converter. If you hear a "rattleing" sound - then that's your problem.

1994 Plymouth Voyager 3.3 The "Check Engine Light" comes on after driving 6 miles on open highway.

Take to local auto parts store and they will usually run codes for free and from there you can find the most likely source of the problem area.

1994 plymouth voyager, not shifting into drive

Not shifting? or is the tranny dust? Is this mechanical (in the linkage) or does the transmission "spin" when put into Drive?

The Voyager is infamous for it's bad transmissions.. Craigslist is "littered" with Caravans and Voyagers that need transmissions.. The replacement can cost as much as $2600.. and finding a used one is not always easy.. the cheapest and best way to replace it is get a rebuilt one.. and do it yourself.. it is time consuming yet fairly simple on the 3.0 engine. The hardest part is seperating the struts.. this might be a two man job.. BTW.. don't let the torque converter fall out of the transmission.. get a book if you attempt this repair at home.. jack he van up as high as you can.. the engine is easily supported with a couple of 2x4 cut to fit..

I have replaced a transmission on 1995 Caravan..

While driving on hwy van dies and will not

Assuming the problem is electrical, the next step would be to look at the belt/belt tension/belt tensioner.

SETTING TIME ON 1994 PLYMOUTH VOYAGER

Hi LMSADA,

Contact the parts store that sold you the timing belt and they should be able to give you the timing settings on your van.

You know if you are going to keep doing major work on your van it would be worth your while to purchase a Chilton's book that is specific for your van.

2000 plymouth voyager stalls

I had the same problem with my van, it turned out to be the EGR valve (emissions-gasoline-regulator) valve. It cost about $65, but well worth it!!! About a 20 min. job
