2000 buick lesabre - water pump replacement

You have to pull the fuel tank to replace it , go on YouTube an check it out a video is better then directions in words !

it is located behind the harmonic balancer. you will need a harmonic balancer puller

An intake gasket leak is a very common problem on the engine in your car, get it replaced and go from there. Be sure to check/change your oil. If it is milky looking, then the gasket is leaking internally also. Hope this helps, TJ

Hello fellow Buick LeSabre owner. A few year's ago I replaced the water pump on my 1994 LeSabre and I too encountered a few obsticals. After I figured out how to address these problems I was thjen able to install my new water pump. To assit other LeSabre owners, I posted the actual process on the web. You should be able to replace the fuel pump through the trunk. Beneath the carpet in the trunk should be an access panel. Once you remove that panel, all the electrical connections and fuel lines can be disconnected. Remember to disconnect the negative battery cable prior to service, and to take necessary precautions in regards to fuel spillage that may occur. I hope this helps.

I have a 1996 Lesabre. I had a similar problem that slowly got worse. I brought it to two different mechanics that did diagnostic checks and could only "suggest" what to replace to fix the problem. Their problem was that it wouldnt stall out while they had the mv. After replacing a bunch of sensors and the fuel pump/ filter, I solved the problem by replacing the Crank Sensor. Its located behind the lower crank pulley on the 3.8 lt motor. Hope this helps!

The coil is on top of the engine and the module on the firewall or suspension strut tower
