Car passes emmission test but fails due to codes in computer

If it's still throwing that MAF code with a new MAF, then your problem is likely a dirty throttle body.

HC is raw or un burnt fuel. CO is incomplete combustion meaning the air fuel is burnt but not burnt completely. check O2 sensors for operation, fuel pressure, gas in oil or how long has it been since an oil change. check engine timing, dirty injectors. when was the last time a tune-up was done plug/wire condition is the air filter clean. just some things to check

Hello, you probably have a trouble code P0506 stored in the system, this will keep from passing test. real simple fix. the throttle body is dirty, this will cause not enough air around the throttle body. simply clean out the inside of the throttle body around the throttle plate and bore. you will need to use throttle body cleaner or carb cleaner

CHANGE SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES .AND AIR FILTER.IF YOU SEE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FLASHING ON.CODE SCAN SEE WHAT FAULT CODE YOU ARE GETTING.

check for any vacuum leaks, run some injector and combustion cleaner through it, check the pcv valve and the egr valve, and fresh oil, can't think of anything else

Fuel supply, air intake and vacuum leak(inside the cylinder). I recommend doing an injector balance test as well as a cylinder leakage (vacuum leaks) test to determine whats causeing the miss.

you will need to find a shop that does emission repairs. maybe not the guy that inspected and failed it. If a shop has the machine, they should have someone there that knows how to fix your car.

Tune up will not stop oil leak. Find out where leak is and fix it. I never heard of oil leak being part of an inspection? Let me guess...You're in California?

Very well could be, if it will not pass due to a trouble code. If it is the actual emmissions that are tested and then failed due to the CO2 emmisions then it could be a myriad of problems.
