SOURCE: White smoke exhaust
White smoke is caused by coolant or water coming out the tail pipe. There is a chance that the white smoke was caused by water splashing up from a puddle onto the exhaust pipe. Keep an eye on the coolant level in the radiator in any event. If its less then there leak coolant leak in the car engine which is causing this problem....

Did the smoke arrive immediately, or after the engine got to temp? Did you recheck the radiator fluid. From initial sounds, you may have ran too hot for one reason or another (low coolant, leak, bad thermostat, etc.) and now have a bad head gasket, or worse, a cracked head. This is not unrepairable and may be resolved with a GOOD block sealant with a lot of luck. FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS TO A "T".
In any event, it would appear from your description that coolant is entering the exhaust. You can verify by checking the coolant level again and also carefully placing your hand, or a piece of plastic inches away from the exhaust. Coolant will be obviously detected if this is the issue.
If you are somewhat mechanical, you can remove the top half of the engine to replace gaskets, and remove the heads to be shaved down at a machine shop. they will tell you if the heads must be replaced. I have done this once, so I am no expert, but I survived the experience.

Have you tested out your fans? Check your fuses and the actual fuse box. Could be a bad fuse or bad fuse box because I had that happen to me. The fuse was okay (it still had some kind of power going to it ) but the actual box underneath was melted.
