Check throttle cabe and tighten it a bit more to give it gas or also check your o2 sensors

My 1991 Honda Civic Hatchback (automatic) was broken into last night. They got into the passenger door but nothing is taken or visible wrong, however my check engine light comes on and stays on when I try...

B******s! It could be that when they broke they tried to get your car going and they triggered the immobiliser and this may need to be reset. On the other hand with many automatics you can only remove the ignition key once the transmission is in 'park' and the steering lock has engaged. I wonder if they may damaged the parking interlock mechanism between the ignition point and the gear selector by messing with the locked steering wheel. Check that the steering lock unlocks OK and that the car is unable to start in any other gear position, try 'neutral'

check on the engine around the thermostat housing for a fan control sensor. if your engine fan doesn't come on when the a/c is on, then thats your prob.

My check engine want come on at all do u know why

That check engine light should come on, as soon as you turn the key on, then when you start the car, it should go out, my guess is, either someone has removed the lamp, or it's burned out.

1991 honda civic si starting problem

have you check the ground wire from your negative wire to battery post? check to see the battery is strong. if it doesn't turn over the engine or crank the engine mean no good ground to the cables. if the car ran fine I dont understand why the car wont crank or turn the motor over it just quit. if the battery check out strong 12 V, starter serenoid may be faulty on your starter or it may be hot and will not turn starter over.

Have the car checked for the fault codes. I suspect it's your oxygen sensor.

Auto Transmission problem

hi do the simple bits first check the fliud level in the box see if its a clear redish colour if any other colour you have a box problem second when was the last time you chaged the boxes oil and filter a blocked filter will cause your problem then the box itself first clutch could be slipping put the box in first gear chock your wheels up put the handbrake on put your foot on the brake pedal start the engine and rev with your other foot and see when the car stalls it should be around 2500 and 3000 revs if its higher than this the clutch is slipping on that gear after this you will need to take it for pressure testing yates210456
