There is a fuel float in the tank just like in the back of a toilet. you have to pull up back seat cushions to get to it i believe. it will be a round plate type with a couple wires coming out. undo it and pull up the float and probably pump too, i dont know if the pump is in tank or out on that car. its easy enough you dont have to pay someone to do it. good luck

This is not a calibration issue, the sender in the fuel tank is the problem, this is a common symtom for senders when they fail

pull the cluster out and check for soft set coupler check all couplers on the fuse panel one sounds to be soft set or you have a bad ground best to take to a dealer but i work for honda builing civics and it is very comon to find a soft set coupler when we do our checks on line so maybe one has slipped through but it is one of those 2 things i am 99% sure

SOURCE: The amber engine light on
The gas tank has a sensor to monitor fuel evaporation. If it determines that fuel is evaporating from the tank, the check engine light will come on. It usually is caused by the gas cap losing it's seal. Get a new gas cap, make sure it is made for your car. That should eliminate the light.
