I just did a conversion on my 3.9Ltr to 300TDi. Now, if it goes to zero celcius ( 32 F) over night, it is very hard starting in the morning ( with Glow Plugs left on for two minutes) and then won't go over 25MPH until there is at least 1/4 heat indicated on the heat gage. Say, about ten minutes of driving. Once warm it has power. I put on a new Fuel Distributor ( $5700 Canadian), but it changed nothing. ( Hope for better fuel economy.)When it snows, it won't start without boosting and running for 15 minutes. This is Vancouver, not even cold like most of Canada, but it is like that here even.

We tried that, but....I think we will do a compression test. Bought the TDi from England with 143,000 miles on it, and IF it is worn out it will behave that way. May have to put in a Short Block.
