Try to locate the fuel pump relay. the pump should be turned on by the relay controlled by the computer. If you can't find the relay, to your local parts store, sometimes they have a component locator and can tell you exactly where it is.

Bought an 04 kia spectra 4x4 3.5l last night I was driving and it died. Had between 1/2-3/4 tank of gas can't figure out what's going on.

check fuses and relays --is it getting fuel --check fuel pump --fuel filter --getting spark--check ignition system -switch to coils --no power or not turning over --test battery starter alternator and connections

Replaced fuel pump in 2002 kia spectra...not receiving any fuel..

All I can suggest that you check that the pump is getting power after that check the fuel pressure regulator.

02 spectra no power at fule pump and inj fuse

The pump relay should have four terminals. Number 2 is a green red wire which powers the pump from a 10 amp fuse. Number 3 goes to the pump. Number 1 powers the magnet in the relay and number 4 is the ground signal from the engine computer. If the relay does not engage on its own, one of these circuits is not working.
The injectors get power from that 15amp fuse which gets power from the main relay.
The problem could be farther upstream with the 25amp main fuse.

2006 kia spectra oem code p2626, p0171, p0170??

P2626 O2 Sensor Pumping Current Trim Circuit/Open
P0171 System too Lean (Bank 1)
P0170 Fuel Trim Malfunction - Bank 1.

Try changing the fuel filter first. Then you will have to clear the code with a jumper.

My 2002 spectra is losing power. It has a new battery, new fuel pump, new fuel filter. It makes a noise like its trying to **** air. what could be wrong?

Hi, sounds like your air inlet or may have torn or came loose from the throttle body. This will cause a lean operation of the engine. Open the hood and look for a big hose unhooked or loose from the engine, or perhaps the hose has cracked open. Please let me know if this isn't the problem or you have any questions.

Where is the fuel filter located on a 2002 kia spectra

The fuel filter is mounted under the vehicle on the right side, near the gas tank. Your best bet is to raise the vehicle up on jack stands to get a better view. Be sure to note which direction the filter is is installed before disconnecting any lines.

No power to fuel pump

Fuel regulator is bad. Replace the regulator and all should work just fine. That is what sends fuel

2002 kia spectra has hard time picking up speed

I had the same problem. I changed my fuel filter too.Your catalytic converter is clogged. I could put the pedal to the floor board and couldnt hardly pick up any speed. I could hardly make up a hill on the highway. Take it to a kia dealership and they will, they should replace it for free, they did mine and I didnt have a warranty. I think there is a warranty on that specific part. That's what it is though.
