I had the same thing happen to my trooper it started losing power I had to cut out the cateyletic converter and when I did it ran perfect but it was very loud but I only drove it to Darryl's Mufflers he put a new one on she ran like a champ it started to plug up or it could be the timing belt slipped a little, jumped a tooth it would still run depends on how many teeth that it jumped the more teeth it jumps the more it will loose power fast and eventually start missing and back firing and start being hard to start or it jumps to far out of time it will not start at all it will just turn over. If it breaks it will turn over fast and not fire at all. Hope this solves your problem its 2 problems that I know will make your trooper lose power and speed if this does not sound like the problem then call Affordable Battery & Auto Care and ask for Jed let him know Jeff referred you to him and he will look it up and help you diagnosis your problem. Call 503-477-9631 he is really good and he is affordable.

SOURCE: lost of power under load(misfire)

In most cases that would be the plug wires, if u do them youreself do one wire at a time and route them correctly, replace any plastic cable clips they snap in to, do this and u will have a quality job that will cure your problem for years, if the plugs are more than 60 miles old change them as well, use the same plugs as the factory used, don't use Autolite..

Probably gas or spark related. Check for spark on a spark plug wire, or on a couple of plug wires would be better. If you have a strong blue spark, then the coils are good, ignition is good, and you will need to see if gas is getting up to the engine. Do you hear the fuel pump come on?

1990 Honda Accord DX 5 speed no power/2 cylinders not firing?

ok.....as far as the oil on them it is possible it is only the spark plug tube seals located on the inside of the valve cover,in fact if you can remember when you took the old plug wires off the boots of a couple propably had oil on them.now as far as the real problem I would recommend checking the timing belt it is possible it jumped time, its pretty simple just remove the valve cover(gonna replace the seals anyways)and top timing cover.roll the engine around and look for the cam and crank marks.if you need anymore suggestions or help let me know have a good day DB

Oil where spark plugs go?

For the oil it seems like head gaskets need replacing. As far as the electrical issue, sound like you may have a damaged wire from the ignition to the starter, I would try to trace the current to all electrical components; battery, starter alternator and see if you can find the area of the bad wire.

Need a new Transmission assy.

GT4x4 are probably your best bet, or alternatively breakerlink or breakeryard (google for them)
