Trouble replacing tire stud 1998 Ford Escort

My son went and got a new tire. The next day, the tire went flat. While changing his tire, he discovered the tire place had stripped out one of his tire studs. He has bought a new stud and gotten the old one out, but he can't find a space to slip the new stud in to install it. Does he need to take off the brake hub and if so, how does he get it off. If not, how does he get the new stud on.
Thank you.

I am not trying to be smart here, but if he got the old one out he should be able to get the new one in. is the new one the same length as the old one, if its just alittle longer than the old, he may not get it in, i know you havent got alot of room, spin the hub around until you find a space to slip it in. if its not longer than the old one it will go in, just tell him you got to have a little patience, it'll go.

1998 Ford Escort Wagon 2.0 SOHC. How can I get wipers and blower to work?

Our automotive electrician Jeff posted up at the top. Better down here. You also have good information from Kardoc, you have a dead short to ground.

How can I get wipers and blower to work???? You can't if you don't know how to test automotive electrical circuits, using wiring diagrams an diagnostic trouble charts from factory service info.

89 ford escort wont start after changing the ignition switch

The last escort I worked on had the identical problem . The solution was the distributor module had burnt out. This is the flat, black, electronic module, next to cap. Has 2-4 screws and requires dielectrical grease on the underside for isolation. Has flat bar connector which has 4+ connector pins. Car will turn over, but will not start. Replace this module for about $25-30 at most parts stores.

How to change stud in rear wheel hub assembly. i need to know how to change the stud in the rear wheel hub assembly, and how do i go about taking it apart

Remove tire and wheel, remove caliper and brake rotor. DO NOT apply the brakes while the caliper is loose. Hit stud you want to replace hard with a LARGE HEAVY hammer to drive it out towards vehicle. DO NOT use a light hammer. It will distort the stud and possibly mushroom the end making it very difficult to remove. Once the stud is loose, you may or may not have enough room to get it out of the hole. You may need to pull the hub loose from the rear suspension to gain more room. Remove the stud. Place new stud in hole. Put a stack of washers over the stud, grease the threads, and using a new FLAT nut with the same threads as the lug nut, tighten until the stud is pulled all the way into the hub. Remove the flat nut, reattach the hub assembly (if you needed to take it loose) and reinstall the brakes.

98 escort. How do you remove the front passenger side hub to replace a wheel stud? Does the hub nut have a cotter pin in it?

IF NO CLEARANCE TO INSTALL NEW STUD THAN YOU WILL HAVE TO REMOVE HALFSHAFT FROM HUB AND KNUCKLE TO PRESS OUT HUB FLANGE,SHOULD BE ABLE TO SNAKE IT IN THERE. WATCH TO NOT DAMAGE BEARING,SUPPORT IT OR IT WILL SEPERATE WHEN PRESSING ON FLANGE OR HUB
