It means that there is a problem somewhere in your emissions system most likely. Are you having any rough running at all? maybe end of 1st gear right b4 it shifts to 2nd. Could be a misfire if it is running rough at any point, You should get an OBD scan done on it to check what codes it pulls. This will tell you for sure. If you go to the auto parts store they will most likely have 1 they will let you use for free. Once you get the codes if you still cant figure it out come back and I can help you out further.
