Did you try turning the wheel/knob next to the head light switch? It's the dimmer for your interior lights. Sometimes that happens and some ppl don't know about it. Not sure how familiar you are with it so thought I'd throw that out there.

SOURCE: My dashboard light isn't working

The lights in your Instrument Panel are not working at all? Or, do you have SOME lights on, such as the one in the heater control panel, or behind the gas/heater guages?

All of the interior Instrument Panel (dash) lights are on the same circuit (switch) so if some of them are on, you have to replace some bulbs in the Instrument Cluster. If ALL of them are out, you need to replace the Light Switch. (Unless, of course, ALL the bulbs are burnt out!) You could test the switch with a volt meter, to determine whether it is the switch, or just the bulbs.

You will have to take apart your dashboard to some extent in either case. If it is the switch, only remove as much as neccessary to obtain access to the switch. If you are going to replace the bulbs, then it is more involved. You will need the proper Driver(s) A philips head, or a torx, whichever it is. Maybe even a 1/4 inch socket set. (Metric) There are a variety of screws and bolts that hold the Instrument Cluster in place. On some models, it is neccessary to 'drop' the steering column. There are two bolts that hold the column up to the dashboard, and once you remove these, the column just kind of sags down some. One thing you must be careful of is the Speedometer Cable. This is connected directly to rear of the cluster. There is a push bar on it, that you depress, then the cable will slide off. There are also a couple of wire plugs that are attatched to the back, so you won't be able to pull the cluster out more than a few inches till you unplug these things.
Once you have the cluster off, the little black round bulb sockets just turn a quarter turn, and pull out of the circuit board. They use a small bulb with no base, it is just glass, with two wire ends sticking out, like Christmas bulbs. Just pull the old one out of the base, and push a new one back in, then replace the base into the cluster.
When putting the cluster back in, be sure that the speedometer cable is pushed back on all the way, or your speedo won't work.

How do I turn off my hazard light in a 2002 eldorado.

What is a hazard switch and where is it located?
The hazard switch allows you to turn on your hazard or emergency flasher lights. When you press the button, all four of your turn signal lights will flash simultaneously. This is a useful way to warn other drivers of potential hazards or to make your vehicle visible during a breakdown, especially at night, and is an important safety feature of any vehicle.

The hazard switch is frequently mounted on the dashboard. Sometimes it is mounted to the steering column or attached to the turn signal switch. The button is marked with one triangle inside another triangle. This part is also commonly referred to as a hazard or emergency flasher switch, hazard or emergency light switch, hazard warning switch, or simply just a flasher switch.

2006 ford f150 2wd turn signal/hazard lights and brake lights not working

Sometimes there are 2 flashers, one for the 4-way emergency and the other for turn signals.

Little confused about brake lights turning on/but not flashing. There is a switch on the brake pedal lever or on the clutch lever depending if it has a manual transmission. This switch often gets hit by the drivers feet and dislodged or broken. If it is broken it can do weird things by routing electric to wrong places. Since you have brake lights it is less likely to be bad but worth a look.

Turn signal stalk. Can break in so many ways. One thing to try is to push the 4-way flasher off and on about 20 times. The internal contacts for the flashers share the emergency function. Using the 4-way button can re-shift the contacts back to normal.

I need to find the fuse that will turn off the emergency brake light on the dashboard, but that particular fuse isn't listed?

WHAT??? ARE YOU NUTS???

THAT LIGHT IS ON TO TELL YOU THAT YOU HAVE A BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURE!

The fix is NOT removing the fuse! The fix is to properly diagnose the reason that the light is on and get it repaired before somebody gets killed!

My turn light don't work but the hazadours lights does it

if the emergency lights are working the we can eliminate the relay because it's a combination relay for both turn signal and hazardous lights. you need to check the fuses, it's more likely the problem. it won't hurt to make sure if the bulbs are ok

Signal lights dont work when breaking

No,this is not normal, this normal when the emergency flashers are on,but not the turn signals.Check the bulbs(all of them)in the rear tail light assembleys. If you can not tell which bulbs are bad, replace them all.Does this vehicle have a trailer light plug?If it does,it could be in it.After the bulb replacement(look at bulbs in your hand to see if filiments are burned)replace the turn signal flasher. To find it turn key on,and left or right turn signal on,and listen, and feel for it under dash around the steering column.

My blinkers and break lights are not working in my 1997 cavalier

I had the same problem, I'm not sure why this works.......but try turning on the emergency flashers. For reasons unknown, the emergency flashers should still work even if your lights do not. Now turn the flashers off and try your break lights and turn signals.
