Gas gauge on 2004 pontiac montana sticks

It started with the heat gauge and now it's the gas gauge. The heat gauge works perfectly now but the gauge needle doesn't move, and yes it's full of gas, lol. any suggestions , can it be possible that it's frozen because we did have some rain then a pile of snow. can you figure out this problem for me thanks...

Before you start your van, and the key's are on accesory. Does your needle move? If it does, your gage is good and you have a bad ground or wire harness. Worst you could have a bad  sending unit and that is in the gas tank it self. Start with checking all the wire connection. Good luck.

Gas gauge stopped working on my 2004 pontiac montana

If the fuel gauge is the only problem, could be the gauge on the dash or the sending unit in the tank.

None of the dash gauges are working on 2004 montana van,why ? tach, speedo, gas gauges not working

Check you fuses, chances are the fuse has gone bad and will need to be replaced. You have a fuse panel under the hood by the battery and another fuse panel on the passenger side of the dash at the end, just pull the fuse panel off and you'll see the fuses.
Thank you for using fixya and keep us posted.

You are going to have to replace the cluster.
A good thing is GM just came out with a recall campaign to replace the clusters.
I would call the local GM dealer to see if the vehicle qualifies for the recall.
