Check to make sure your parking/hand brake is fully released, sometimes the spring that pushes back on the mechanism isn't strong enough, doesn't push back all the way, and the brake indication switch isn't engaged.
The other possibilities are that the float in the master brake cylinder is stuck (if it has one), or the level sensor has failed.

Which lights? the night lights or the symbol lights. if the symbol lights are the lights that are on, you need to tell me which ones. you said all lights but if it is the symbol lights then you are telling me the battery light ,oil light ,temp light, abs light, low coolant,washer fluid,check engine,brake and so on,

okay let me tell you and i will try to show you them. first is the check engine light which is a yelloe symbol of a small engine, this means theres a problem with the engine operation or emmisions system. this you can go to an auto parts store and they will scan the cars computer for codes and give you a print out. i can help you further with the codes, next is the anti braking system which doesnt allow the wheels to skid in heavy braking or snow and ice, this symbol will say ABS.nextis the red brake light which will say BRAKE in red and will sometimes come on with the yellow ABS light this light if on alone means you are low on brake fluid, which means a leak or low brakes and you need to have the brake system checked asap, the rest of the light are low coolant, trac, which is in the ****** and controls the traction control, this light will come on if this cars has it when the abs or engine light is on because the computer shuts it done when theres a problem.hope this helps.heres a good site that will show you all lights and what they mean there are alot depending on the car. hope this is helpful.http://www.autoevolution.com/news/how-to-read-the-dashboard-lights-1370.html

There are two symbols with an exclamation mark. The first is a oblong circle with the exclamation mark inside with ( ) on each side of the oblong circle. That symbol is for brake system warning light. Check brake fluid level, check brake pads. The other symbol is (!) and is flat on the bottom its suppose to resemble a tire, it means there is a problem with the tire monitor system, check your tire pressure, if you have low tires you will have to drive car after servicing the tires then the light should go out. Tire pressure should be on a placard on the driver door or door frame.

This symbol is your brake warning light, which resembles a brake drum with two brake shoes on each side. Your emergency brake may be engaged or your brake fluid is low. Engage your emergency brake and release it to see if that fixes the problem. Next item to check is your brake fluid level. If it is your brake fluid, and it continues to give you the warning after refilling the brake fluid, you could have a leak in your system.

Check your air pressure in your tires.

if it is the light i think you are talking about,it is telling you that you have a parking light or a brake light out.if the light doesn't come on till you hit the brake pedal it is a brake lamp if it comes on as soon as you start the car it is a tail lamp. let me know if this helps.
