2001 Saab 9-3 was driving and while driving the speedometer went down to zero, my check engine light, TCS light, ABS light, hazard light all came on. Also at the same time when I stopped at a red light the car idles a lot harder than normal, then when i accelerate it runs fine. When I shift the car from drive to park, the hard idling stops.
TCS light on, ABS light on, brake light on, spedometer and odometer not working on my 2001 Saab 9-3 convertible, someone tell me which sensor is not working. Hate to take it to Saab dealer, all are crooks. First time I took it to dealership and they wanted me to spend $170 becose I didn't know how to take my key out of ignition / my Saab is manual and now I know I have to place transmission in neutral to take key out but they didn't tell me that./ Anyone know about those lights and what causing them to glow?TCS light on, ABS light on, brake light on, spedometer and odometer not working on my 2001 Saab 9-3 convertible, someone tell me which sensor is not working. Well, it could mean that the emergency brake has not been fully released. The ABS system light is on if something has occurred within the ABS system. Something faulty may have happened there, get it checked out!
if there is a fault in any of the systems abs tcs or engine management the lights light up get it plugged it to a diagnostic tester and it will tell u the problem
hell yes tell them to get jump off it saab clubs look their 1st
hows the ecu 2nd hand
if this goes it will cost 3000,00 don't just look here look uk everywhere, you will find one I have a friend who has one I mean saab turbo same as you will ask him were he gets his .
You will need to have your car's ECM (Computer) read by a OBD II scanner to determine what Trouble Code your ECM is giving so a mechanic can properly diagnose the problem. You can go to your local AutoZone store and they can pull the codes out of your ECM for no charge.
You can fix this yourself, in a couple of hours with basic hand tools. You will need a rebuilt ABS module. Try this link for an under $500 repair. The dealer will want $2800, + labor.
my Saab 9-5 is being dumb like that to, i went to the Saab dealer and they gave me a plug saying it was that was wrong but they never told me where it goes nore how to fix it... so i have a plug that is just sitting here anyone know what im talking about?
to begin i dont know what it means to say expensive or not how ever, all the lights at the same time could only mean one thing the problem could be in one of the diodes in your alternator is bad thus turning on all the lights on the dash board,
now regarding your brakes especially on saab;s shake or vibration is caused by uneven surface on the brake rotors (usualy the front) my suggestion is to replace the front rotors and the brake pads at the same time.
does it light up like a christmas tree? I had a simliar problem last year on my 2000 9.5 aero. I beleive it was the tcs on, tcs off, emergency light, and 2 others, i forget now. After paying the saab dealer $800 to try and diagnose it, finally they came up with a faulty abs switch. Cost to replace was over 3k. I took it to my other mechanic and he found one in a junk yard for half the price. I had it replaced over a year now and it works fine.
Have them check out the ABS switch. I later found simliar info on the web of other saab dealers
