We do not have access to the 2002 owners manual which contains the fuse information, so please explain what this fuse powers.

According to my diagram, number 11 is a 10amp fuse that powers the ac clutch relay. I don't see how it would keep the engine from starting.
Is the fuse you are talking about in the engine compartment box and is it a 10amp ?

SOURCE: I have a 2002 PT Cruiser That I put a new Batter

you should never install a battery backward double check everything before ever starting your car. your lucky for the fuses or you could of had a electric fire..you need to remove the aircleaner and there is a fuse block underneath it. theres also a post there usually with a plastic cover on it that post is for ever if you have to jump your car this is a positive post, but next to it is the fuse block. hopefully you didn't do anything to the computer.

SOURCE: Chrysler PT Cruiser interior light fuse blown

hi ,
remove pos batt cable 1st
I would start examining the door switches since they are a constantly cycling part, Im not exactly sure how many accessories run off the door switches but I would examine the drivers door switch, study how the switch removes from the door, gently pull switch assembly out, being careful not to yank wires loose. remove it and look for arcing marks or soot, try all the doors, then I would disassemble the dome light itself if you cant find it, if you find the short you should reinsulate with thermoheat wrap heated with a hairdryer and maybe even some extra electric tape.

good luck

SOURCE: my 2002 pt cruiser lost power steering suddenly

check to see if the serpantine belt is still there. It sounds like like it broke. this belt runs all of the accesories on the vehicle including the water pump. So if this happened it probably starting running hot too

2002 pt cruiser blows fuse#3

Did you check for applicable trouble codes? Anything pointing toward the rke module. That fuse is hot all the time, so, if wiring circuit problem, the fuse should blow as soon as you plug it in? I can't rule out the rke module, but, there could be a switch or something that is causing a problem for the rke module? I can't diagnose that problem from here.

My 2005 PT Cruiser keeps blowing fuse 13, what is the problem

Fuse number 13 is a 20amp fuse that powers the ASD relay and the computer among other things.
Someone will have to pull the relay and check the circuits one by one to find the short. It could be any one of a dozen or more components.

I'm fues to my fan keeps going out on my 2006 P.T

More than likely you have an internal fault either in the fan itself or the thermostat that activates it.

For a fuse to blow it has to have a lot higher than normal current draw through it, which is normally refered to as a short. If the fuse blows almost immediately then I would suggest you unplug the fan, and see if the fuse blows with just the thermostat in the circuit. If it blows - replace the thermostat control. If it doesn't blow, plug in the fan and watch it. If it trys to start and then blows the fuse, replace the fan motor.

I was installing a cd player in my pt cruiser and now the interior lights and door locks and some of the dash lights want work i checked the fuses and they seem fine

Be sure too carfully inspect all the fuses especially the fuse running the interior of the car. You can narrow down the fuse by looking in your owners manual. Some blown fuses may look ok at first glance but may actually be blown.

I have a 2002 PT Cruiser That I put a new Batter in today but I put it in backwards and it started smoking, I called autozone and the told me that I had blown the Main Fuse or Batter relay fuse, but I...

This would typically be more of a fusible link than anything that looks like a fuse.

I'm not sure on a PT Cruiser, but they are usually on the fuse block, but in a different compartment with a separate cover. It will always be on the plus or positive or red side of the battery....
