I just need to add air. How do I do that?

You need to have the air ride system diagnosed
& properly repaired

There is more to it,than just adding air to one or two
air shocks or struts,it is a complete system with air
compressor & various controls

SOURCE: 1998 olds Aurora i have an oil leak, is it common

There are common places, you'll just have to look around to see where the leak is:
Around the oil filter and the housing
Around the oil pan and the pan gasket
The oil seal behind the damper pulley
Valve cover gaskets
These are the most common places, leaks can spring up anywhere.

How can I manually add air to the factory shocks on a 98 deville?

You will have to add a small tire valve like fitting to your
air lines, somewhere, to add air

You can get caps to block off the
compressor outlet hose

Your going to have to go to a plumbing or appliance
store to get your parts for the tubing, not auto parts

95 olds aurora fuel pump wont shut off when turn engine off

It's your air pump running, not your fuel pump. Probably have a small air leak in hoses to shocks.

How do I chnage the front and rear shocks in a 2001 4.0

The shocks in the rear just unbolt top and bottom, disconnect the air line and replace them.

Struts are used in the front. You'll need to remove them and then have a spring compressor to change the struts. An alignment check is recommended after the struts are replaced.

Is there a cheap and easy solution to fixing or repairing the air pump for the air shocks

You could just put in old style air shocks that you manually fill, I did it on my 86 fifth ave

I am changin the rear shocks on my 99 Aurora an Im not exactly sure where the airlines go for my air ride suspention??

You should have a place to connect them on the side of the new shocks - assuming you bought air-shocks. Depending on the connection type, you may have to cut the old end off and use the new ends (should be supplied with the shocks.)

I have a 1998 Olds Aurora thats been a great car until about 2 weeks ago and then ... problem 1. lights flash off and on when car is off, clicking, buzzing noise coming from steering colum,...

problem 1 could be a loose wire, but if it is failure in the switch it will need to be replaced cleaning is probably not an option. Problem 2 bad gas can cause the stopping at idle speeds add some stp fuel treatment, read label to make sure it dries up water in gas. Fill up after you add the treatment and you will probably be good. problem 3 is tricky. Try turning off the a/c then turn it back on you should hear a little click like sound which should indicate if it is in fact turning on the a/c. If it sounds like it did turn on then turn off a/c and switch to heater or vent mode you should hear what sounds like little doors being closed. If you don't hear a change or heater doesn't blow hot air or your outside air vent doesn't blow cooler/outside temp. air then you may a have a leaking vaccum line or the vaccum unit is not working right.

I have a 2001 Olds Aurora and the trunk keeps filling up with water. Can't find a leak. Any suggestions?

Try this trick, add vasoline to your weather strip to your trunk. What happens is when the weather strips start to get old, they can no longer conform to the truck and gaps form letting water to get in. Good luck and keep me posted.

Burning oil...what oil to use in 1998 olds aurora 140K miles

Many engines begin to drink oil at or around 100K miles. I found that Castrol GTX High Mileage oil will get me to the next oil change (at 5K miles) without having to add a drop, where as before I made the switch I was having to add two quarts just to get there with the generic stuff.

1995 aurora need to replace front struts and rear shocks is it best to stay with air or is something else better also where is rear suspension compressor

I really like this car, almost bought one new. Now as you know OLD S has been gone since yours was made. No Parts at GM. Never were good in that area. I had a Caddy and did what you want to do when parts were avail. I stayed with the Air Strut/Shock from GM and adjusted ride height sensor ,then off to alignment. Compressor may be under battery, you'll hear it when you turn key on if it works. Kind of old to spend money on. I buy new and keep 17 years and do my own work for 46 years plus owned a shop a couple years. 15 years old is time to ride it out to the end.not restore it. Get a 68 Reviera for that. Forget the air if it becomes had to find parts or send yours out and have them rebuilt if they aren't rusted through.
